Multistrada questions, Stumped the DUCATI forum so far

    Quick exhaust Q 2013/2014 Multistrada
Two questions, just looking for a little sound and I use my throttle in place of a horn sometimes.

    Buying a 2013or 2014 multi

    1. Termi can only; any sound difference or does the cat wreck it? Any ecu changes required, I want it to stay as smooth as possible down low for two up riding

    2. Termi can and a cheaper dcat pipe, Leo, Danmoto or the like) (the termi full system is ridiculously priced!)
    Any ecu changes required?

    3. Is the full $2600 termi stubby carbon system with intake and ecu changes worth it, I don't need more top end, it would be nice to get more bottom or at least no loss, smoother throttle transitions etc..

    THANK YOU!!!

Honestly, for something so specific I would ask one of the techs at Seacoast. I think the ECU change or reflash would smooth the torque curve and likely make it a little smoother down low. My older 696 was with the termi package and was somewhat smoother than stock. Also, if you want to smooth the low end for two up riding I think the cheapest mod is a -1 front sprocket. It worked magic on my Monster 1100 (and was also great on my Monster 696)

Great idea on the drop tooth front sprocket, I will do that. If I post my question in the sea oat section will they possibly answer?

Probably not. Their forum is more for their events and specials, not technical wizardry.
I recommend calling or stopping by. I went to one of their seminars and they have some real intelligent techs their who know their stuff inside and out.

True, but Bruce isn't there. Neither are Eric or Jay. There was something to BCM that was killed by Leslie and not replicated by Seacoast. Derry is a great dealership but BCM was a great service shop.

Bcm was the perfect dealership, They did it right, Seacoast has been great with the demo and my questions, Bought my newest Arai there. They also responded to my exhaust question on their section here, quickly I might add!
This is the way I believe I will go, I have a friend who had the Silmotor pipes on his 900ss (before a track day crash) they had a great look, sounded great, smooth but with volume. With the ecu changes I will get cruise control as part of the package, great to rest a throttle hand on occasion..

Heavily considered the full Termi package but No cruise, stuck with their ecu/map and hate the Titanium long can look on the multi, $2400ish without a carbon can, (I can't seem find the full system with a carbon can but I'd guess it's more $$)

I know there's cheaper stuff but I want quality.

    Intake:
    BMC Performance Air Filter: Standard

    ECU work:
    MW Tuning/Rexxer ECU Remap

    SILMOTOR full system:
EXHAUST KIT - Ducati Multistrada 1200 - Full - Exhaust Systems - Fast by Ferracci Parts

    $1675 total

    Thoughts?
