Yeah Z1 with ninja bodywork its pretty bad ass.
And I disagree with your non tourer statement though, nice tourqey liter engine, 500lbs, adjustable wind screen. Its deffinately pushing into the sport touring segment. Not that that's a bad thing. If I could have two bikes I'd love to have one of these for two up, or long distance stuff.

My sentiments exactly. I'd love to park one along side the 10R, one for track, one for street. I'd be tempted to grab the accessory hardbags, too.

its finally a good medium between sport tourer a little more towards the sporty side, i dont like fz1's and the VFR is 600lbs . . . . to fat for my taste, This is going to weigh around 500 with good torque and power i'm sure

I don't like it. Kawasaki should have given the '11 10R more attention. (The Ninja 1000 takes away from it). They would sell more bikes if they could run with BMW and Aprilia in World Super Bike or Yamaha in AMA.

Are you joking? If they gave the 2011 ZX-10R anymore attention, they wouldn't have any other bikes to release this year (the fact that the Ninja 1000 and the new Vulcan bagger were even released at all surprised a lot of people). Unless you were living under a rock all summer, the only news out of the Kawi camp for the last several months has been nothing but info on the ZX-10R. Its going to do just fine, don't worry about it. Besides, the Ninja 1000 was in development along with the updated Z1000 that came out last year...they just decided to release the naked one first. So the development cycles are totally unrelated.

damn, I like it. This is the kind of bike I need ( but sadely can't afford).
I rode my buddy's zzr1200 this summer and was really impressed with the thing. Really comfy, handled well enough and plenty fast. This thing will sweet I'm sure

this is a bike everyone will say they like and NO ONE will buy in the US.

It's not an R so that rules out the squid crowd, it looks like a squid ride so that rules out the touring/standard crowd.

I predict it will last 2 years in the US and vanish.

I agree. But, considering it is what the vfr should have been you may find some converts. The engine is superb with gobs of low end torque and it is setup nicely for light touring.
