Or is just Brendan the only one from NE capable of handling the power of the big body busa? Since the influx of a few of us "out of stater's" and all the assclownery about Busa's etc.. figured I'd ask. I know many of you like to ride at the track, not to say the Busa can't do it, but its not as inclined to flick into and out of transitions. Do you just ride the track bike and not have the ass to ride a power house or what?
*now to hit the sale sites to find me a track only bike*

I spent some time on a custom busa I thought it was pretty cool felt comfortable like a Harley and fast as stink.
No hate as long as they are not blinged out to bad

Obviously you never got to pilot a Busa. I've taken mine to track days, no I can't stay ahead of the lil bikes, but on the straights I play reel 'em in. Worn my tires from bead to bead on the track and the street, and no aneurysm, of course I don't drink man-butter either.
Mongoose, I don't particularly like the bling-o-ramic bikes either. I'd rather see them pitched over, pushing the shit out of the tires limits... of course until the fat pig causes the tires to slip in switchback!

Not really, but it is a great starter bike...seriously.
Heres a clip from Mt. Lemmon, AZ last year.... Riding the Lemmon
And yes, in the beginning of the video the pics of me are the result of hitting a fucking pheasant or grouse around 170+ while conducting unsanctioned drag racing... because of the camera mounted I had to tuck in between the screen and mirror, the bird hit my visor and exploded. fucked my neck up for a couple days as well.

More recent clip from Bishops Castle, CO. First time I been on this stretch, but this was on our way back...setting up for some mid-lean pics for my wing man.

Love my Busa, especially since I had her Dyno'ed, & the suspension done.
Cat, I have the same bike as you except I wen't with a HMF Dual highmount carbonfiber system
Black & silver is the fastest color too by the way![]()

I spent 3 days in northern Oregon with 20 other riders using scooterrashe's 06 Busa. Busa handled no problem at all. Carved right thru those canyons.
If all else fails, Lean more....
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA you guys are crackin me up here!
There are a small few who ride busas around here and virtually none at Loudon (it is one of the most technical tracks go google it) they are big fat pigs and good only for the strait roads
I seen a bad experience last year riding when in a group of about 8 where we all got jammed up in a decreasing radius turn and the only busa in the pack bit it hard (sorry to bring it up bill) all the other biked made it threw even a 97 900rr a fz1 and a tlr
As for fast? look at my screen name and STFU

I don't think mine slowed down any when it was painted solid black... but then again, maybe I need to review the tale of the tape and make some more unsanctioned LSR runsWho did the suspension? I've rebuilt my forks, upgraded springs and such, with only 160lbs sitting on it thats about all I needed to do. If I raise her back up I wont be scraping on the track zipping around turns...but I like the compromise.

Meh, you can get similar power to weight ratios on lighter machines, and with not much effort, matching rear wheel HP on lighter machines... so... I think the Busa's time has passed.
I agree the Busa wont handle quite as nimble as those little bikes do, but then again it is a Man's MotorcycleI am familiar with Loudon's layout... always wanted to hit that up some day, but like the rest of ya wet itchy pussies, I'd bring a more track ready bike. Now if you want to believe the Busa is only good for straighliners, thats fine, guess you dont get outside the track much. I knew a Camaro drag racer with the same SN... I'd whoop his ass on the drags, lucky for him it wasn't quickethanu! Faster huh? Lets hear your trap speed, or Land Speed Racing Top Speed...going around a track no way you could be faster then me, since speed refers to mph, quicker I'm sure I wouldn't argue...

Busas suck, shouldn't you go get a ZX14 cause those guys are way cooler than you, I bet you can't handle the REAL power of a 1400. Fucking loser.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Fact 1. The Busa is fast
Fact 2. The Busa is FAT
Do you like your women fat AND Fast?
Oh and as for the "Play reel em in" in the straights... ANYONE can go fast in a straight line. It takes Gonads to go fast in the corners.
Not saying you don't know how, It is just not what a lowered Busa was really intended for IMHO.

If I'm building for a LSR, the Busa isn't going to be my base platform, why would I start with a motor already struggling to make good power for it's displacement in a heavy chassis when I can get better power per cc without bolting on a single mod by starting with a more modern package?
Oh, and a small note, 'unsanctioned LSR races' aren't LSRs, their displays of idiocy on the street. You wanna claim an LSR, I'll see you at the Salt Flats, otherwise stick to East Coast Timing events. Wringing out a Busa on the streets just speeds up the process of bike's being legislated as illegal.
