So Sunday i had the great pleasure of riding with my customer and buddy Rich O'Connor and had the pleasure of riding the baddest Ducati ive ever had the opportunity to ride.. but First... picture this.. Riding 495 at a good clip 90-95mph... oops here comes the exit.. .. so i go to cut from the fast lane to the slow lane ... cut attempted... Bike SIDEWAYS!!! Drift left... Drift right .... Left again... SAVE!!!... thinking it was pretty baddass and just happened i look back to see a GIANT cloud of smoke following me .. i Immediately pull to the breakdown lane and shut the engine down... HOLY SHIT.. heart starts racing because at this point i realize it wasnt a baddass lane switch i made but that the back tire and my right leg are covered in OIL!! so Rich and i proceed to remove the fairings and out drops the Oil pressure sending unit... Apparently it had backed out and removed itself from the engine blowing oil across the back tire and exhaust.. Rich's own words... " I saw you go sideways and dissapear... then all i did was look for a cloud of smoke and debris... I HAVE NO F"N CLUE HOW YOU SAVED THAT!!! " So after bringing the bikes home for a proper cleaning and oil change... we were On the road again... In the pic you can see the puddle of oil that came from the fairings when removed... In the other pic.. you will see my ride for the second half of the day... the 2012 Ducati 1199 Pingale SP Tricolore.... this bike is a sickness i never would want the cure for.. complete SEX in the form of metal, plastic and carbon fiber....
