If you made 73hp at the wheels last time I think there is a very good chance I could take that prize away from you. :twofingerQuote:

Speaking as the 2001 SRNE Dyno Day Low Horsepower Champion (28, on the CL450) I think different classes are cool even if you don't have prizes for them. I always thought that it would be interestiing to have classes for greatest/least peak HP per liter and greatest/least peak HP per decibel.
oooh, most/least power/decibel... i *like* that one. :)
bump
It looks like I could be in on this after all. Any info on Marks bud?
Jay,
How about a summary of what the fuck is going on.....

(From a previous post. I haven't emailed Mark's bud yet, but I will tonight. And never mind the catering shiznit. That ain't happenin'...)Quote:

A'ight bitches! I talked to Paul Nault at Nault's in Manchester, NH. I haven't spoken with Mark's bud yet, but here's what Paul has for us...
We need a minimum of 30 people. Paul's willing to open up just for us on Sunday, October 6th. The cost is $50.00/person for the day. For the $50, we'll get a few pulls on the dyno with 'tuning sessions' in between each pull. He's also gonna have TWO service tech's there to help out those with Power Commanders as they are a certified Dynojet Tuning Center. He's also gonna have a coupla parts guys in for us too, and they're also offering 15% off parts or service if anyone wantsta order something or make an appointment for service...
So basically, you do a pull, ya get your graph. Pull 'er off and tinker with your PC, Yosh box, carb needles, whatever. Get 'er back on and get another graph. Rinse & repeat...
If peeps are interested in getting this catered, I can call around to get some prices for that too. I'd figure for 30 people, it'll cost around the $500.00 mark for a decent spread. So I'm guessing that it'll be an extra $15.00 or so...
If this is what we all wanna do, he wants a deposit (refundable ONLY if they hafta cancel) by mid-September, and the balance BEFORE this happens. I'll collect the checks, cash, or money orders. If you're sending a check or money order, make 'em out to NAULT'S, not me. Repeat: Make it payable to Nault's, NOT ME! I'd rather not deal with cash. Make it out to Nault's, and I just hand 'em all over to them. Much easier...
Right now we have just over 20 people that say they'll do this. I'm not even gonna think about persuing this with them until money starts coming in for it. JC & I are NOT putting money down up front for this, this one is up to everyone else. If I don't have a good chunk of the money for this by say, the 14th of September, I'm gonna tell him to forget it...
Think about it. For fifty bucks, you get a bunch of dyno pulls and you get to plug technicians trained by Dynojet about how to tune your bike...
So lemme know what you wanna do. If there's enough interest in having this catered, they said they're alright with that. So I'll look into it if it sounds like that's what we wanna do. Just keep in mind that a caterer will want a deposit too...
I would be interested in thei. I will talk to you more about it at the track. If we have enough people I'm in. For 50 bucks you can't beat it. Most place charge 75 for 3 runs and 250 for a custom map. Granted this won't be a custom map, but it will be a good start. Plus I am curious what the mighty Gixxer will pull. :D
$50 check payable to Nault's??
I can swing that for a good dyno!!!
(Let's see how much more HP the 02 makes...):D
You guys that are hemn and hawn are crazy. If I lived closer I'd jump at a deal like that , especially when you'll have techs on hand to help with your power commander settings. This deal is
"like a sore dick, you can't beat it"
Count me in on that DYNO run. Not up to date with the latest on this topic. Anyway just count me in. :D
When I picked my SV up tonite at Rochester Motorsports, I asked what kind of deal they could give the answer was
regular price $60
if we can guarantee 20 bikes, $40
30 bikes $30
I know that $50 is too steep for my curiosity, $40 really is too, but at $30, I'd think about it
Me being the low hp champ at the 2002 srne dyno, well, i'll win that one every time;) That thang put out 7.5 hp and if we coulda only held err down, she woulda made prolly close to 9:drool:Quote:

As for the dyno day, i may go for a ride and to spectate. I don't care enuff about the R1 to bother with a dyno and i'm sure there will be no one there with the tools, knowledge, and knowhow to tune my R7
:D
It's not JUST about HP figures. For me, it has more to do with how to fine tune the Power Commander. For those with carbs, it'll show you where your weak spots are too. Sure, it's harder to adjust carbs, but you'll at least know what needs to be done. With Nault's offer, they'll even have service techs there to lend a hand...Quote:

Roachester Motorsports is outta the question. I wouldn't pay their service dep't to tickle my balls...

Sorry to kill your buzz man, but it's a Japanese sportbike right? Strip the plastic off any of em' and there essentially the same.
I guess it is a japanese sportbike but the bodywork is carbon fibre and not plastic:redface:Quote:

I have yet to find the proper tool ( CO diagnosis switch box "R7 specific" ) and a list of codes to tune the EFI system:shock: :chair:
