Re: NESR history question
'Fuckity, fuck, fuck, FUCK!' is wunna the all-time best posts on any message board, EVER. It's not always about the content - timing is EVERYTHING...
And I couldn't agree with Frankenwhore more about NESR starting it's downhill slide back when we actively took part in racing. That is to say, when 'NESR Racing' was loud & proud is when things started straying from our original mission. I needed someone to say it to realize it...
Mick, you fuck! Here's to Afro Man! Ba-kawk!

Re: NESR history question
I think the idea for NESR came about on a SRNE ride where a guy on a green tls pulled a stoppie or soon thereafter
there's a time for gear, there's a time for t-shirt & no helmet, there's a time for a wheelie and there's a time to ride within the law
if you can't see that, your missing the full enjoyment of riding

Re: NESR history question
Hey Stoneman,
I like the fact that NESR is kinda track oriented. It is that part that caused me to buy a track bike, attend trackdays and thirst for more of it.
I also still ride on the street. One of my favorite kinds of street riding is the 'high speed run'. Yeah, not the smartest thing, but the bikes I like are made for one thing......going fast! Weather its fast straight on the highway or fast around corners, its fast!
Rock on NESR! :beerbang::shredder:

Thanks for the candor. I agree with your statement that I have a desire to teach the right way. I was somewhat aware of my "imposing morals" on this forum... I have recently been trying to be a kinder, gentler "Doc". :D
I think those that have actually met me in real life know that I am not as "imposing" in reality. I think it is difficult to express oneself on the internet. (no inflection, tone, or facial expressions).
I hold no ill will towards ANYONE on this forum (even Denno and Kham and Highsider) and honestly forget who is who, and what I have said to who, so nothing should be taken personally.
I meet you in real life... Don't assume I am gonna treat you like a squid and if you show me that you are I will most likely try to KINDLY teach rather then condemn.

Deal. I look forward to it. :) Maybe I will even attend an NESR streetride. :naughty:
For the record, Racers do not know everything. Hell they are just squids that can't wheelie! (I especially do not know a damn thing about racing having only done one year)
On another topic.... What is with all these :rasta: undertones?
You haven't heard my take on that because it has been a quiet undertone...
All I ask is that like squidlyness just don't do it around me. :D Thank you.
(Seriously I could get into alot of shit!)

Doc-I have never seen or known Mick to even pick up a beer, never mind smoke reefer. As with a lot that's getting tossed around in this thread, you just won't understand (as well as a great deal of others). It was just too long ago, when NESR was fun...

I am not accusing anyone, I am just putting it out there that I have heard it mentioned (maybe it was all in jest).

I came to his defense without ever knowing him. That's actually how I met Frankenslut. We hooked up for a ride shortly thereafter where I said I'd welcome his antics so long as they were well placed. Even came out of the closet 'over there' and openly admitted I admire the talent it takes. Shortly after that he started talking about starting up a site with his boy Quigs. Told him I'd help any way I could. Next thing ya know, fuckity-fuck-fuck-FUCK and it's up & running. They asked for help pimping it out. Next thing ya know, NESR was born - a site where just about anything goes and just about anybody was welcome. I miss it...

Re: NESR history question
time has past, NESR has grown up and all. i have learned to expand my narrow view a great deal. found whos tollerable/intolerable. people on side of the law still suck. found my riding style and plan to ride less due to my situation... can't hang with the... you know...
from here on im just here to argue. :)

Re: NESR history question
While it might not exist in the planned direction it was started in - it didn't really deviate a crapton from it either. The other side of the coin is, when you guys started it what did YOU think it would be 6 years down the line?
The active membership is still growing, people are still speaking their minds, occasionally a ride comes out of it...it sounds like. So good work!
About the only other difference that I see is Lovecat used to be the one that rambled and complained about everything. Now she looks like the quiet one.
The only thing I really miss is the lack of a captcha and seeing Stoneman's responses to the spammers :D

Re: NESR history question
What's worse? A nice power wheelie from 1st through 3rd gear during a group ride or getting stuck behind someone in the same group ride going the speed limit in a full tuck?

Re: NESR history question
I have to say i've been on here a while and have been on more than a few ride's. Every ride i've been on has been great and the people even better. Sure some have done some stupid stuff and some don't. That's what i enjoy the most is the diversification of it all. I have always enjoyed everyones company know matter who they are or what they do. That to me makes livin worth livin. Once you stifle that you take away everything that makes us different from eachother. I've always believed that and always will. I get the reason why this forum was started from some of the things that have been said and i think the idea is still here. People will always have there opinions and ideas on things and there will sure be arguements goin on, But all in all this is a great Forum. The one thing we all have in common is we love to ride and that alone should be the thing that brings "everyone" together. :beerbang:
Enough said i have to go fill out my application to join the Hells Angles were a Brother Hood is truelly a Brother Hood.
