Re: NESR history question
There should be allot more ride's period. If more people met it might make thing's a little smoother in here. I agree with Doc it's hard to understand people in here. It's much easier face to face.

I wasn't on that ride, I just remember you getting shit for doing a stoppie, on 123 ?
best rides I remember were you, jay, degs, captain roadkill? don't remember his name, and the guy tht moved to CA don't remember his name either maybe a few other guys, sutton, gilbert ? always around 5 or 6 and I usually rode sweep
even a lecture from a local leo
"alright boys, I know your dressed for it, but this is not a racetrack, you guys were doing 85 in a 30 when you went out of range of my radar and I know you were going a hell of a lot faster. (then pointing his finger at me) YOU, better slow down, twice in one week"
I hate to guess how fast you guys in front of me were going on your litre bikes as much as a half mile ahead of me and I was close to 4x the posted speed
and the strangest thing, that leo has a rep for being a hardass
those were the days

Man, I miss the old NESR :frown:
We had the best fucking group rides back then. Never too much of a plan but who cared.
Who has the pic with Stoneman and Frank burning up a tire in flip flops and shorts? :shredder:

Was that the same ride when PG was in the lead and came up with the idea to collect everyones money for the toles and just make one stop? probably would have worked great..if he didn't end up in a exact change lane:shredder: Seeing him stuff a bunch of ones in that bin was priceless!!
Ahhh the good old days:devil:

Randy, if you were doing 4x the posted limit, I can bet we were doing 5x it! That was the day I wadded the RF. Degs, JC (Frankenhardon), Paul Gilbert (that's the guy you can't remember) and me traversed the Kanc in all of about 12 minutes. We were so far ahead of you guys, we had time to stop-leave a leak-have a smoke-and talk about doing it again backwards before all ya'll caught up! JC & I commonly refer to that day as the 'riding like we were all on crack' day ride...

I plead the 5th.
Actually, I remember bits and pieces of that ride. I saw 177MPH indicated on PG's R1 on the Kank. I got a tankslapper on the RC51 at about 160 after hitting a HUGE pothole. I believe Adam Vella was with us, too.
After that ride, we promised to "never speak of this". Only took ya 6 years to crack, Randy. Lightweight.

easily, you were that far ahead
but, actually No, I believe that was a different ride, the ride you wadded the RF on, we made the loop in the opposite direction
then there was the photo op ride when I scraped my bar end mirror and nearly shat myself , at least I stayed in my lane in that decreasing radius righthander the Ian swore he saw air under my tires , Degs went wide, a little later, we stopped to get pics of degs & jc doing simultaneous wheelies in parallel, amd later sparks off jc's peg feelers

Yeah, back in the day when we didn't have internet popularity jealousy on this board.
I don't remember riding the Kanc with anyone; don't remember PG, Barb and I on a group ride hitting a road block designed especially for us on 95 north, and who could remember PurgeDI?:shredder:
Paul, that bastid, got me hooked on racing and then left...

Bingo.
I can't remember the last time we all rode together without being on the track. For pretty good reason too.
Deal's this spring? :D

Was this the night we were going back to Jays after hanging out at the local watering hole? Jay and you were the only NH residents in the pack. And I remember you coming up from the back, we were moving pretty good before we all got pulled over in the wee hours.
Speaking of that night, what in the hell were the names of the other 2 that were with us? The blondie and dude who we later found out gave us a false name.
-
Re: NESR history question
Yeah, I remember that night. we were coming into Epsom and we got pulled over. Someone managed to hand out the gum to everyone before the cop came over to us. We got away without even a warning.
Those two, WTF were their names. Bill and ?????. Turned out his was a false name. Fucked up situation.
