Re: NESR history question
There's no big secret to the "motorcycle forum" cycle.
As an existing forums ideals start to change(most likely as the founders/core members grow more mature), some members find themselves unhappy with the direction of things.
They start a new forum, based on their then-current ideals(I wanna do wheelies/I don't need to wear full leathers/ etc.)
Then, their ideals begin to change(you guessed it...they maybe grew a little more mature) and they no longer feel the same way about the same things as they did when they felt a need to leave the previous forum.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
I frequent www.bandofriders.net most often, and that site was created after a "falling out" with ODFU(which formed after a divergence from another forum...). Although there were specific circumstances related to BoRn's creation, the base root was the beginnings of a shift in belief between the founders of ODFU and a group of members. Guess what? A couple years from now, the core membership of BoRn will gradually change their attitudes, and someone will decide it's time to start their own forum...

I got bored with all those letters arranged in patterns you may know as "words" by the middle of page 2. I just need to validate my opinions, dammit.
