Thanks for the candor. I agree with your statement that I have a desire to teach the right way. I was somewhat aware of my "imposing morals" on this forum... I have recently been trying to be a kinder, gentler "Doc".

I think those that have actually met me in real life know that I am not as "imposing" in reality. I think it is difficult to express oneself on the internet. (no inflection, tone, or facial expressions).

I hold no ill will towards ANYONE on this forum (even Denno and Kham and Highsider) and honestly forget who is who, and what I have said to who, so nothing should be taken personally.

I meet you in real life... Don't assume I am gonna treat you like a squid and if you show me that you are I will most likely try to KINDLY teach rather then condemn.

Deal. I look forward to it. Maybe I will even attend an NESR streetride. :

For the record, Racers do not know everything. Hell they are just squids that can't wheelie! (I especially do not know a damn thing about racing having only done one year)

On another topic.... What is with all these undertones?

You haven't heard my take on that because it has been a quiet undertone...

All I ask is that like squidlyness just don't do it around me. Thank you.
(Seriously I could get into alot of shit!)

Doc-I have never seen or known Mick to even pick up a beer, never mind smoke reefer. As with a lot that's getting tossed around in this thread, you just won't understand (as well as a great deal of others). It was just too long ago, when NESR was fun...

I am not accusing anyone, I am just putting it out there that I have heard it mentioned (maybe it was all in jest).

We hooked up for a ride shortly thereafter where I said I'd welcome his antics so long as they were well placed. Even came out of the closet 'over there' and openly admitted I admire the talent it takes. Shortly after that he started talking about starting up a site with his boy Quigs. Told him I'd help any way I could. Next thing ya know, fuckity-fuck-fuck-FUCK and it's up & running. They asked for help pimping it out. Next thing ya know, NESR was born - a site where just about anything goes and just about anybody was welcome. I miss it...

    Re: NESR history question

time has past, NESR has grown up and all. i have learned to expand my narrow view a great deal. found whos tollerable/intolerable. people on side of the law still suck. found my riding style and plan to ride less due to my situation... can't hang with the... you know...

from here on im just here to argue.

    Re: NESR history question

While it might not exist in the planned direction it was started in - it didn't really deviate a crapton from it either. The other side of the coin is, when you guys started it what did YOU think it would be 6 years down the line?

The active membership is still growing, people are still speaking their minds, occasionally a ride comes out of it...it sounds like. So good work!
About the only other difference that I see is Lovecat used to be the one that rambled and complained about everything. Now she looks like the quiet one.

The only thing I really miss is the lack of a captcha and seeing Stoneman's responses to the spammers

What's worse? A nice power wheelie from 1st through 3rd gear during a group ride or getting stuck behind someone in the same group ride going the speed limit in a full tuck?

    Re: NESR history question

I have to say i've been on here a while and have been on more than a few ride's. Every ride i've been on has been great and the people even better. Sure some have done some stupid stuff and some don't. That's what i enjoy the most is the diversification of it all. I have always enjoyed everyones company know matter who they are or what they do. That to me makes livin worth livin. Once you stifle that you take away everything that makes us different from eachother. I've always believed that and always will. I get the reason why this forum was started from some of the things that have been said and i think the idea is still here. People will always have there opinions and ideas on things and there will sure be arguements goin on, But all in all this is a great Forum. The one thing we all have in common is we love to ride and that alone should be the thing that brings "everyone" together.

Enough said i have to go fill out my application to join the Hells Angles were a Brother Hood is truelly a Brother Hood.

    Re: NESR history question

There should be allot more ride's period. If more people met it might make thing's a little smoother in here. I agree with Doc it's hard to understand people in here. It's much easier face to face.

I wasn't on that ride, I just remember you getting shit for doing a stoppie, on 123 ?

best rides I remember were you, jay, degs, captain roadkill? don't remember his name, and the guy tht moved to CA don't remember his name either maybe a few other guys, sutton, gilbert ? always around 5 or 6 and I usually rode sweep

even a lecture from a local leo

"alright boys, I know your dressed for it, but this is not a racetrack, you guys were doing 85 in a 30 when you went out of range of my radar and I know you were going a hell of a lot faster. (then pointing his finger at me) YOU, better slow down, twice in one week"

I hate to guess how fast you guys in front of me were going on your litre bikes as much as a half mile ahead of me and I was close to 4x the posted speed

and the strangest thing, that leo has a rep for being a hardass

    those were the days

We had the best fucking group rides back then. Never too much of a plan but who cared.

Oooh that one. I remember it now...Paul Gilbert and I were a tad unruly, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the guy made it out to be (can't remember his name). The guy that was complaining was tailgating cars left and right all day, doing far worse damage to the biker's image than Paul and I. I think PG did a 1.5 rotation burnout at a gas station and the guy got all mad. I don't recall doing a stoppie though. I think if I had, there'd have been an injury report after that ride. Me + wheelies = good. Me + stoppies = brain damage.

Maybe it was Gerard that did the stoppie. Oh wait...

Was that the same ride when PG was in the lead and came up with the idea to collect everyones money for the toles and just make one stop? probably would have worked great..if he didn't end up in a exact change lane Seeing him stuff a bunch of ones in that bin was priceless!!
