    newbie down

man i gotta tell you what i just witness. lunch time i was outside waiting for a ride to go pickup a sausage. as i stand there by the bike park area, there were 3 guys getting ready to pull out for a ride. this young kid started to pull out on his new R6. as he accerate he went straight for the rear of a park car. do you remember that video of a newbie on an SV or something that went straight for the tree? yea it's like that except this one is about 6 feet. he went down after hitting the car and me and 1 other guy rush to pick the bike off him. he was ok but damn.. neatless to say i moved my bike away from that area.

what i dont get is how the heck did he get the bike to work?

My accident on my SV was similar to that, I just didn't hit anything.

I had gone for 2-3 rides before hand without any trouble.

I had rode it all the way across town before the accident. Went to pull a u-turn and got way too much of that V-twin torque and went down.

The bike definitely has too much low end power & too good throttle response for a total newbie. (Like I have said after about a month it was a great bike)

    Twist the wrist?

Maybe some day I'll do it, but can't you (HE, being the one who just whacked the car) just start off at idle from a parking spot?

I'm not saying up hill at a busy intersection, but like a parking lot:
    why the need for throttle?

Reflecting on the clutch thing, I just replaced my first one (in a cage) EVER. third owner 154K ..no material left to make the car move. I made 400K out of another one (I got it at 90K)

My boss fired this guy who twisted the driveshaft off a loaded 6 wheeler truck towing an equipment trailer and a skid steer.

He side stepped the clutch at about 3,000 RPM, at a level 4 way stop sign intersection. SNAP!
