    My newish track toy

Figured I'd post this as I sit and watch hockey. So last year I sold my beloved sv race bike. I wanted to replace it with something unique. Low and behold I found a 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 1090. I quickly turned it into a track toy to instruct at Fishtail days. So far these are the mods done.

Pirelli dot SC1 on the front and SC2 on the rear.
    DP Brakes X Race pads
Suspension set up for my weight
Fast by Ferracci Slip on titanium exhaust
Re upholstered stock seat with grip material
Custom made carbon fiber Brutale race front fairing
    AEM titanium rear wheel nut
    Spider adjustable rear sets.
Mild tune by Steve at Hudson Valley ( 144 rwhp 73 tq)
    T Rex case covers
All street equipment removed/ deactivated. OEM tail remains
As it sits today. I am very happy with the bike, the performance is fantastic the engine is very smooth.

Always loved the brutale. Never pulled the trigger due to worry if reliability.

I'm just about to pick up a 2014 Rivale 800!! Can't wait to try it out on the track. How does your MV compare to the SV?

    Re: My newish track toy

Night a day. Its just easy to go fast on. On the Sv it was much more work! My sv was well set up but this thing is just better in every sense of the word.

The 800 is a good motor... It has had some issues but its a good motor.

Sweet bike. I bought a Brutale from Eastern Cycle in Beverly back in 2008 before they sold out to Cycles 128. The Brutale is a fantastic bike and the sound of the MV engine is like a jet plane. Never took mine to the track, but I'm sure it's a blast.

    Re: My newish track toy

So little update here... I am toying with getting the bike wrapped and changing the colors. Was thinking of going with the traditional MV silver and red scheme. But I got to say the matte black has grown on me.. Would like to hear some opinions/ideas

    Re: My newish track toy

Instead of a full wrap, keep the matte black and add some matte tricolore graphics?

You know I love my bikes murdered out.

I like Duncan's idea. You could also do grey sponsor logos.

Looks like there’s some real estate on the radiator shroud for some horizontal striping. Definitely on the tail, front fender, and number plate. Doug at TSS Graphics is really good, he’s local as well, Stow MA.

Its fun! I really like it. Makes it a lot easier to look over your shoulders for students.

I may give TSS a call. I have never been good at seeing things before they are laid out. Here are more pics.My newish track toy-20200620_150505-jpg

I don't know why that pic is upside down. Would a number plate and my number look ok? Its not my race bike but its an idea. Thoughts? I like the idea of the tricolore on the front fairing.

Did some upgrades since my last post. My latest is adding 2022 superveloce wheels to the bike. The gold looks great and are lighter than the OEM silver wheels. And I added the tri colored on the carbon fiber front fairing.
