Just got pulled over and chewed out by a state cop.
WHILE I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT!
I had accidentally taken a right hand turn one block before I was supposed to, and I had just pulled a u-turn and then turned right back onto the same street. Goosed it up to no more than 40mph and then stopped at the next light.
The guy chewed me out as if I was some kid pulling wheelies in the mall parking lot.
"I ride a police bike, blah, blah, blah, your riding gear won't help you blah, blah, blah. I bet your mother doesn't like you riding blah, blah, blah."
Of course he didn't write me up for anything. It would have been massive BS if he had. It may have looked as if I turned right onto the side street to skip through the light, but is it really wrong if I made an honest mistake?
Then of course he doesn't even have the courtesy to keep his cruiser parked behind me as I put my helmet on. He just pulls out and leaves me sitting there in heavy traffic with no shoulder, much more dangerous than anything I did.
