It's kind of common sense that it's not real safe. Attached garages require 5/8 sheetrock against the wall of the house to provide for a 2 hr fire rating, just in case a vehicle or something burns. Not real helpful if that vehicle is sitting in the living room.
But then again, I've never witnessed a bike catch fire while in storage.

But my friend's parents had an inspector cancel their policy because a pit bike was in the basement![]()
Basement. Heat, AC, carpet, XM radio, work stand, plenty of light and fidge full of cold ones!!
