    ok lets talk buying 600

i dont like the conventional forks and brakes on R6 and 600RR. these two options had big influence on me buying the 636 last yr and plus the new design. gsx600 and 750 have these for this yr. any comments?

I don't normally post in topics like this but... What don't you like about the forks and brakes on the r6 and the 6rr.. These are two of the best bikes made. If somehow you use the brakes to the limit a simple pad change will suffice. And if you need to have the forks reworked ( not necessary for the street unless you weigh 200+lbs) that is inexpensive. It sounds to me like you are in it for the bling factor. If that is the case just buy the 1K and get it over with.... All of the racers on this board run older outdated 600's and we are not even close to the limit on the track, never mind the street...

Not really.. Mine's a tick over 400lbs wet.

They are real: fast, agile, brutal sounding, head turning, great handling, torque monsters, that frighten most riders on anything under a 1000.. I love it.

They don't make you any more than a yellow ZX-7R (which by the way has not been changed since 1995) You wanna talk old school.

Well, well, well. Following in the footstep's of your beloved Eric Bostrom?

Seriously though, this w/e (17th, & 18th) Great Bay Triumph/ Ducati in N. Hampton NH is having their demo days. You can try out a 999. Last year I tried a monster and my buddy took the 999. Laughed my ass of as I watched him wheelie an $18,000 bike that didn't belong to him. Lemmie know if you can make the trip pussy.

Dan you couldn't be more right. With a dad like you that kid is gonna be great!!

The factory Mille is about 385lbs dry 138 RWHP, ohlins, brembos with steal braided lines, radial calipers and master cylinder for both clutch and brake levers. OZ forged alum.racing wheels. Lotsa carbon fibre and a price tag under 20k.. How can you go wrong.

For under 14 you get the Standard Mille' with the sachs boges suspension vs. ohlins and a bi-posto seat config. still can not go wrong.

    Ahh Forza mi Aprilia!!

These days it comes down to what color and style you like any 600 would work. I only know a hand full of people that could ride a 600 full out on the street. maybe not even a hand full. what happen to your last bike??? why did you get rid of it?
