    Opinions on Moto GP Gloves?

    Looking at these:

Anyone have any experience with them, seems like a good price.

    Opinions on Moto GP Gloves?

I got 2 pair of the RPM model which is the next step up to what that is and 1 pair of the Nitrous which is their top of the line glove.

    RPM - great street glove.
Nitrous - very good street/track glove

This may sound like heresy here but I tried a couple of pairs
of Held gloves and did not like them ... I gave them to my friend
    who just bought a bike.

Another guy on here said the same thing about the Helds. He said they felt great off the bike but not so good while riding. I think he got some Technics instead.

Go to Plaistow Powersports for the MotoGP gloves.

It is the off season ... twist Lis's arm a bit!

Tell her that she has to dust off all that inventory for the
next 4 months with no action on it.

For the money, you get what you pay for.

That was also my inticial feeling about the held gloves. They have to be broken in. After I rode them a few times they stretched where I needed them to and they shrunk where I needed them to.

Im sure those motogp gloves are niec. I have not heard anything bad about their stuff. What I dont like is the soft knuckle. I like hard armor. The helds I have now I could probably put my fist through a windshield and not feel too bad about it

I agree with the knuckle part.

The RPM model and the Nirtro models both have knuckle armor.

My left knuckle ate a pebble going 75 on I495 last summer
following a trash tractor trailer. +1 for armor!

Those trucks scare the hell out of me, they look like they
are ready to fall apart and they are squeezing those last
few thousand miles out of them.

Last time I went to work, saw a WM garbage truck blow
rubber chunks about a quarter mile ahead of me.

I saw blue smoke and red lights and said oh shit!
When I passed him, he was pulling to the right side break
    down lane.

    Back on Topic:
Spend the extra money for armor and padding.
Those gloves are on closeout cause they don't sell.
Unless you have fairings in front of your hands or those
dirtbike protectors, spend the extra money for a good
pair of armored gloves. Keep an eye on Newenough's
ebay closeouts ... some very awesome deals there!

OK then, what woudl people suggest for gusseted gloves?

I have Joe Rocket Honda Superbike gloves, which are essentially the GPX 2.0 glove with the Honda coloring on them.

I'm probably looking to upgrade my gloves, so what do you suggest? Use?

I agree with currently the Moto GP Nitrous is a great glove. Love them so much i bought 3 pair in diffrent colors. At 80.00 to 100.00 depending were you get them there a great buy. I think MotorcycleCloseouts has them for 80.00 in four diffrent colors.

Im using held galaxys. I wish you had said something while we were at Petes last week. I could have shown them to you and you could have tried them on. They are a very nice glove. Hard carbon fiber knuckles. Hard carbon fiber cuff. Kangaroo leather.

    http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=7

You ar enot going to beat that price anywhere for these. He might not have them since held has discontinued them for the Phantoms but its worth a try. I just got a bunch of gear from him today Ill toss up a photo.

RPM Gloves from MotoMummy for $65

I have dealt with these people before.

I would definitely go to Plaistow Powersports first and give
them a chance. They are good people. Wish I could say the
same about other dealers around here.

BTW, they have the best deal on Pazzo levers I have seen.

    UNION

Close to 300.00 for held. For that kind of money i would pick up the Alpinestar GP Tech or the Spidi Carbo Six Kangaroos. Both great gloves.

That is funny cause my Nitrous is very tight on my hands
and is one size larger than the RPM's !

Wonder if they screwed up sewing on the sizing label.

Corey at MotoMummy is a great guy. He's on the Gixxer forum all the time helping people with questions and suggestions. He's also the kind of guy who will recommend something that he doesn't sell if he thinks it's better.

Yup, he does come on SVRider once and a while to give us
a heads up on great deals. Nothing but compliments by
    people dealing with him.

Got the RPMs, they're sweet! A touch on the snug side, though. Is there a break-in process, or is it just time in the saddle that'll do it?

Would my stationary bike count as saddle time?

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike
