FZ-07 is gutless. Great bike if you're new, timid, or (I guess) more responsible than me, but in my opinion it was seriously lacking in the fun department. FZ-09 on the other hand....great bike.

Lacking fun and bikes bubs usually owns are one in the same.

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
The 701 occupies an uncomfortable niche in that:
- there are definitely much better bikes for me and my use cases
- I can never quite bring myself to seriously consider selling it
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
I have a 2019 SM. It is the most fun bike I have ever rode. There is nothing like it. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
I have a '17 690
send it
but if you're just doing street, why not get a street bike
I do 250-400 mile loops from home into where the fist 60-80 miles from home are at 75-95mph on freeways...hmm, maybe I do need a 790/890/T7. but man do I hate 400+lb bikes in the desert

I think you have the perfect bike for your locale. Just make it optimal and KEEP IT FFS! lol

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
For long trips this seat is worth every penny. I have done a couple 200mi rides with this seat and it was great. The stock seat sucks after 20mi.

Orem UT
Yes that’s the only place that has a 2020/21 Husqvarna 701 that I can find.
Was one in PA but that sold so I guess I’ll just scour FB marketplace

So it looks like the two dealers that had one sold them but did not update their website so maybe I’ll be watching for the 2022s to come out , can anyone recommend a good Husqvarna dealer in mass or New Hampshire to deal with

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
Good luck finding any knowledgeable KTM/Husq dealer in the northeast. The only one I've ever heard decent things about is Edelmann's in Troy NY, but my buddy didn't have the best experience with them with his 790.

I believe Souhegan Valley Motorsports still carries Husqvarna. Just over the boder of MA in NH.

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
In CT:
Mo (Makct04) does parts/gear sales at Manchester Honda/KTM/Husky
Noel (Gixerjockey) is sales manager at Colonial Power & Sport in Milford (KTM)

Motorbikes Plus https://www.motorbikesplus.com/ in Portsmouth is where I bought my 701SM and Edlemann sales https://edelmannsales.com/ in NY is where I bought my 300 both did right by me on the pricing of the bikes in my opinion. I get my parts elsewhere for pricing reasons and typically do my own maintenance.

They got back to me today and said they’re not expecting any for a while

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
Conn dealer has some coming in the next couple months but will not tell me price via PM

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
Took mine out for a romp on each of NYE and new year's day. Thing is super fun at all legal speeds.

Nice
My DRZ400SM is in my basement plugged in and non ethanol fuel … napping

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
Other than at NHMS, I'm not sure I'd be able to locate non-ethanol gas without some sort of newfangled app to point me in the right direction. I should give all the puppies some time on a battery tender soon, especially with the cold snap.

Re: Has anyone owned a Husqvarna 701?
You may want to call around to marina's and ask if they have ethanol free gasoline. Due to large tanks, long standing periods, and plenty of moisture to worry about, you really want to avoid ethanol in marine and aviation. The problem with aviation fuel is it's not unleaded. It has lead and it will clog up a cat if you use it. Lots of people use leaded aviation fuel in snowmobiles and other off road equipment.

Sorry to hear about your wife. These bikes will be around in the future. Youll have one to ride.
