Question For those who owns a hack, must I observe the 2/3-1/3 ballast rule?

Is the thing really THAT unsafe to drive without weighting down the hack when I have no passenger?

its pretty easy to get the chair in the air without much effort when empty. you could be making a regular turn at an intersection at a responsible speed and look totally irresponsible.

That settles it, if I get a Ural I'm filling the car with helium.

I drove a Ural with sidecare about 50 miles a year ago. Some city and interstate. No ballast. It was terrifying. Nothing...absolutely nothing...in my experience prepared me for that ride. It wanted me dead plain and simple....

Get a center hub performance set up. A friend has one powered by kawi concourse and one with the big triumph rocket. No ballast. Sucks trying to keep up with them when the roads a bit wet.

there used to be a Ural dealer in town, on the street leading into the town cemetery. I good place to test ride cause there was never any traffic, I didn't have issue, but I didn't have and empty chair

Leave it to Randy to sneak corpse theft and Urals into a perfectly nice conversation.

I saw a cute ballast at the market yesterday. Bulldog waiting patiently in the hack while his owner shopped.

So, I got 2 14lbs paver and put it in the tub. Works petty well, but I wasn't going even remotely fast or trying to test the limits anyway.

Also race boots + crusier = leg cramps.

I have nothing of substance to offer except I drove by my first ural yesterday on the way to work. We had been talking about getting one in the near future not that long ago.
