what to buy?

so im thinking of getting a new bike this summer and its time to bump up the cc's. i found some old leftovers. 2 03 SV1KS's and an 03 (04?) ZX-10.
i would LOVE another twin but 150HP is calling me. the SV isnt a "cookie cutter" bike like the ZX. and IF i insured it, it wouldnt cost as much as the ZX.
ive never owned a Kawi or a Yamaha (cant find any leftover R1s or that would be in there too) but ive wanted a SV1K since it came out. i just wish it made a little more power. 105-110 is almost twice what i have now but, 150+ HP and 186MPH just sounds like sooo much fun. probably the wrong kind of fun, but fun nontheless
as you can probably tell im still leaning towards the SV (im about 75%/25% on this SV to ZX ratio here) just wanted some input from others.

You will never utilize 150HP on the street.............period. The only thing that will do is pump your ego and that's what causes trouble.

Be careful and buy the ride that suits your pride.

besides... i can take the SV1K and beat HalfSquid at the drags... again. it should be even easier on a bigger bike.

That may be a bold assumption for some, and an untruth for many. The power is fully accessible (at times), and quite controllable for any rider with half a wit.

But having just recently sampled a 2006 R6, I *may* be inclined to replace my '04 ZX-10R with one. That bike is the baddest fucking vehicle I've ever ridden. And it's not even broken in yet.

there's a leftover raven r1 in milford nh i'm sure they want way to much for it. i forgot the name of the dealer. has lots of carbin fiber on it and its awesome i really want it someone buy it for me

i think your sv is probley alot more comfy that a liter bike but if its just more power you want i'd say go for it! i would look some of the new nakeds like the the fz1. r1 power in a ride it all day package.

i LOVE the sound of a twin. and the SV was the best bike that never sold. kinda like the RC (not a stab at mike) only true lovers bought these bikes. with a ZX or any other I-4, its just another "rice rocket" with the angry wasp sound im still leaning WAY towards the SV. my G/F has a GSXR 750 so ill probably just use that to get my I-4 fix

you may want to look at the z1000 126 rwhp with streetable ergos.....and you can get one very cheap used....very under rated bike imo

ratm's bike is nekkid and i want an S model, it is a nice bike though. and ive ridden a Z1K.... too buzzy... there are more things i DONT like about it then what i DO like about it..

trust me.. i WANT to move up. but my job wont allow it. and i think i could keep up with you on an equal machine. maybe someone will give me a bike at practice this year to test this theory.
