The No Paint Match Blues

Please Help Peeps!!!

My body shop can't match the candy grand blue of my '02 Katana with their fancy shmancy Dupont color match photo system. They got a tri-color paint from some friggin' company related to Dupont (hopefully not by marriage) and the shit turned out purple tinted. What should I do? I need my cowls back because... well you know. They keep telling me that they're working as hard as they can on it and they'll get the color. How much would I be looking at if I went to the root of all evil Color Right for the tri-color work?
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

tell your body shop to try ppg paints, sometimes switching brands makes a difference, he has to also check the variations on that paint code: light, dark. you can find it on the computer of your mixing system.

Zap, log into gixxer.com, ask for somejeffguy or jeffw (they are two different people). Ask them what the paint code is for your '02 Kat and ask them to recommend a supplier. Tell them you will go with their recommendation.

You will get your answer by noon.

YOu should do what i did when i had to do some body work, just change the color of the whole bike, it makes matching the color a hole lot easier. The only thing is you need to have a really understanding girlfriend/wife because your going to be gone a while. Just kidding, i dont know anything abuot matching paint but if anyone does it will be grc460. I actually did repaint the whole bike and he was a very big help with everything, if you need some pointers on painting once you get your color either talk to him or check out the "know anything about paint" thread in general bike related. Best of luck, i know i needed it.
