    Panigale owner question....

Alright.....Im trying to get me head around something here.....I test rode a 2013 Panigale S and we all know its got awesome...well, everything but the straight line stability is much less than my 848. Its twitchy compared to my bike. I was put off by this during my ride. I did not adjust any of the suspension settings on the S model...

So question is, can the S suspension be adjusted to eliminate the twitchyness? Has anyone else felt it lacking in straight line stability? I know it turns in with much less effort than my 848 but it feels much less stable. Sometmes these two things are mutually exclusive.

You can adjust everything on that thing, from the suspension to the auto pose function. I'm sure you could very easily dial some stability back into the chassis by either bringing up the front end or slightly dropping the rear.

Just by listening to rider complaints while at seacoast (italian bike owner, so I'm there quite often for service/problems with the bike) and my local dealer, well, seems like the bike is a genuine POS There's only so much adjustment you can make to a shitty design

Im willing to bet most of the Panigale owners dont know shit about their bikes. Probably afraid to adjust the settings on a bike they are not happy with.

There is a difference between the 848 and the 1199 Panigale and a simple reason why the 848 is more stable then the Panigale but I dont own either so I guess thats that.

    Re: Panigale owner question....

If you spend that much money, why doesn't Ducati re-spring the thing for you? Getting the right spring rate was probably the single biggest improvement on any of my (really cheap) toys. So I imagine that would translate. All the suspension gurus recommend getting the rates right before screwing with anything else. And spring rates are one thing that really can't be adjusted electronically.

So why doesn't Ducati ship the things without springs and spring it for the owner at time of sale?

To have them adjust? Maybe call Pete.

Either you have money because youre buying a panigale so it wont be an issue or

Youre living off ramen for a while because you bought a panigale. In that case deal with it

People bitched that the 848/1098/1198 were too hard to turn, so Duc listens and people bitch...

Spring rate doesn't change geometry, which doesn't change stability.

Depends on if you're a big human on an undersprung bike. That'll change the rake/ trail pretty good.

could it have been the tires? a tire with a triangular profile will make the bike turn faster and feel twitchy
