Question places to park around The Pru?

I'm going in on Monday morning for a conference and I'm looking for spots nearby. Thanks.

I park for $5. But my wife works at Christian Science Plaza, so parking is easy for employees. They get subsidized parking under the reflecting pool. (yep, right under it)

How long are you looking to park? There's a lot on Dalton St. between Belvidere St and Boylston St. right around the corner fro the Pru.

There's also an underground lot right for the Pru.

I would say expect to pay big dollars for both lots, since parking is a premium in the city.

no "park on the sidewalk" places nearby, eh? I'm a cheap bastard and don't want to pay what a car would pay for all day...

DO NOT PARK ON THE SIDEWALK!

Unless you want to come back to having no bike, as it will be towed.

Meter maids around there are aggressive.
I parked once last year in a some triangular "fluff space"
between a car and the curb and was there only 20 minutes.
    Just behind Copley Plaza.
But no joy upon returning to my bike!

You could try the covering it, i have heard that meter maids won't remove
the cover to see your plate info.

or Check some garages they let bikes in for free.
I know Brigham and Woman's has space in their garage for free.
Not that that this is close, but there maybe other garages like that.

We should start a sticky just for places to park in Boston.

I get a pretty good success rate parking on the corner of Stuart Street and Trinity Pl. Cover your bike
I work in the JH Building, a few regular ride-to-work folks often park there and usually get away with it, as long as you cover.

Little known fact: the Pru has motorcycle parking off the huntington entrance for $10/day or $125/mo. that is actually your best bet.

take your plate off and park - seriously, i was on the sidewalk eating a bag of rold gold and a metermaid asked for some of my pretzels. i obliged and while we stood there eating pretzels i asked her what the story is on bikes and tickets in the city.

she said park the bike on the sidewalk/ yellow striped areas and take the plate off and bring it in with you...

    i love those pretzels...

    true story

Either at the corner of that - it's not really a dead end, leads to a entrance to the 100 Clarendon Garage ($$, expense acct handy) and the Mass Pike.
On the corner by that sidewalk works, or the opposite corner - you'll usually see one or two bikes there at any one time in the workday.

*dont* do the corner by the travel agent, or the one with the JH Building

no problem. i went in there expecting to drop $30 but then i saw a sign and that is how i found out about it. there is also designated motorcycle parking so you down have to worry about those idiots who go whip in to a space with out checking first.
