I sold my 2006 2500 to get this one. Lot of things to like about rhe older trucks, minus the rust and constant issues at this point.

I like my '02 Silverado, at this point 240k the 5.3 is still strong, and gets good mileage, my mechanic told me I got a good one, keep it alive as long as I can, cause a new one is just gonna rust faster, It had new cab corners and rockers when I bought it 5 years ago with 195k, just replaced the rockers again, other than that, brakes, shocks & tires

haven't had such good luck with my '05 Tacoma with 139k that I haven't had a year and barely put 1k on, the truck was pretty much sitting idle a couple years before I bought it, frame & exhaust were replaced just before I bought it, All I can say, is I hope I got the bugs out of the piece of shit, after the only other time I've owned a Toyota, that I swore I'd never own another one again

Made a number of calls to dealers from Georgia to VT. Best deal was in Jersey for 15.5 + tax w/ the tech pack installed. Local folks weren’t close to that but orders are going out next week for the ‘23’s and anticipate the wheels to hit the floor come December. When that happens I’ll see if a ‘22 is around and expect a better deal.

No interest in used? I've seen a lot more 890R's for sale on advrider recently than I have in the past. There was one for sale in NY for a good deal, but I can't seem to find it anymore.

Hell there was even a Rally recently:

When it comes to the 890's, you're pretty much guaranteed to pay MSRP because they don't sit on the showroom floor like the bigger models. I got $3k off my 1290 when I bought it but that was because it sat for a year, which is not uncommon for 1290's.

The plan was to go used but wanted to see what I could finagle from a dealer and see what I could get with trade-In on my FJ & their price.

I’ve been eying that rally for a bit and there are also some real low mile Farkled 890r’s close by that will be in the mix. Just need the FJ re-homes before that happens. It will happen. And it’s a bike you are supposed to buy in PNW and ride home type of bike so the location of the sale is no worry at all.
