    Fur on the body work

Ok, feel a little odd asking this, but a few weeks ago I was down Wollaston beach and a couple bikes went by, one had a fur cover all over the body work...

    What's that all about?

    Really curious...

    Fur on the body work

The theory of it (at least for stunt riders) is that fur protects the bodywork in case you dump the bike and if you do it a few times a day that sort of makes sense.

There are some guys who put fur on their seats, but that has to do with "chick magnet factor".

Performance Bikes had a picture of 9R onces with bodywork covered in mirror pieces. Obviously not for road use, but looked pretty cool.

don't evennn get any ideas about putting that on all yellow bikes. what's next burnout boards and flashing neon lights. DOH!

Actually it does look pretty cool on yellow. OHHH, my brother jsut got me a set of flashing red tire caps. They light up with movement and last for over 200 hours (about a season). I will premier them tonight at the ice cream festival of squids if it doesn't pour rain.

Damn, I've been looking at those for a while but I haven't bought them cuz I heard they mess up the balance of the wheel. Thoughts anyone?

don't waste your money. The flasing red caps are about 4 times taller than a stock cap and hit the brake line in the rear and teh brake itself in the front, so they won't work. Oh well, would've looked cool. My kids inherited them and think they are soooo cooool!!

As for the lights. PIAA just came out with a new bulb. PIAA extreem series 4150k (HID=5000k) I saw them on www.autotoys.com a bit pricey but still cheaper than HID and these are pretty damn close.
