Taking photos through that chain link is kind of a drag, isn't it?

If you have a long enough lens, you can go to the very last row of the bleachers there at T6 and go all the way right, as you are facing the track. This gives you an okay vantage over the fence down into the bowl AND up the hill through 7-8.

Also wander over to the grand stands opposite 1. I got some great shots late in the day of the guys in 1-2 from there.

Hmm It should work no problem with your 70-200

I was using a 75-300 and a 28-135. I would have loved to have had a 70-200 F2.8.
