    Woo Hoo, it's back!!

I just picked my CBR up from GMD. Peter did an awesome job on all the stuff that was done. (shock, forks, clutch, brakes, SS brake lines, and valves)

I haven't ridden (is that even a word) a bike with a new clutch in so long. I stalled it once on the way home.

It was also my first ride w/ the new boots and gloves (thanks Steve). Everything's coming into place. C'mon warmer weather.

    Woo Hoo, it's back!!

Congratulations! Been thinking about checking out GMD for my CBR, too. Just recently I purchased a couple pair of Tour Master boots which fit me perfectly. Good luck with the bike... I was out there today and the wind was definately challanging. Just a little longer to go!

I picked up a pair of Sidi B-2 boots from metricbikes.com. Great price ($200, shipped), extremely comfortable and great riding boots. the gloves are MotoGP Nitrous gloves. I got them brand new from Stevecbr900rr. They seem a little tight in the fingers, but then every pair I buy has been that way on my first ride out. I think I need to get the insides of the fingers a little damp and keep my hands in them until they dry. Then they'll be like buttah.

I told Peter to take his time on it. besides, it hasn't been really good riding weather anyway.

As for the strips, I doubt they'll ever go out to the edges. I'm just not that ballsy. Maybe now that I have a decent pair of riding pants I might be tempted to stick out a knee though. (need to get some pucks just in case...LOL, like I'm EVER going to get it over THAT far.)

I know that. I just like stringing ya.

The bike only had 14K on it when I bought it last year. That's 14K for a 9 year old bike! I ended up riding just over 6K last season from June until January.

I saw your bike on the lift when I was there last week and I was in awe of how clean that bike is. Enjoy the new goodies.

Peter mentioned that quite a few people commented on 1) that people still ride those things and 2) how clean my bike is.

Both comments make me really happy, but not as happy as actually riding it.

That's CUSTOM shelving liner to you. Mine has a drawstring on it. At least it keeps my wife from slamming into me on hard braking. It actually makes the rear seat look more like the Corbin I have up front too.

    Triboseat non-slip seat covers

I'll snap some before the weekend w/ the new stuff. A couple things left to do:

Reinstall the stock mirrors. I hate the Targa F1 mirrors I bought over the winter. Too small and all I see is my arms. Not to mention that they vibrate beyond belief. I'm also thinking about powder coating the metal on the mirror mounts, so I can remove those hideous rubber boots that cover the metal. (the metal is currently a gold color)

Rim striping. I'm really not looking forward to doing this, I have shaky hands and I don't have a front stand. Anyone want to earn a 12 pack?

    Nice!

I'm trying to decide between a big screen TV or getting a full setup from Peter.

    This is a tough call.

Yeah, I bought a 2-PC suit with pucks on it, but I think that the pucks will go unused. No need to ever ride at 10/10 on the street. I try to keep it around 7/10

I finally got my nitrous gloves in time for this weekend. They were pretty tough to get my fingers into until I wore them for a whole day. They held up pretty well when I crashed too. The only part that came apart was the tip of the ring finger on the right hand. The stiching must have come undone because the leather is still intact. And most importantly my hands are fine. All I got was a small papercut-type thing on my index finger which didn't even bleed.
