    going to Pick up a new 2008 CBR1000rr tonight

    [for someone else]

    Friend sent me the craigslist ad for $7,999, I forwarded it to another friend and he bought it. He cant pick it up, so Im getting it for him. Driving from MA to buxton, ME in a borrowed truck, then taking it the rest of the way to his house.


    SOOOO JEALOUS!

    Its the colors I would get as well



    ill be taking it for its first ride at least

    I love the bike and the colors but I can't get over how ugly the front end is.

    Hopefully, he won't get one of the oil burners. Probably 5% of them had to have warranty work done due to this issue.

    its a small percentage, and its covered under warranty

    That's why I like the bike but would never own one. That and the new R1 could be 2 of the ugliest machines made. It's just a matter of opinion. Some of the bikes I like are ugly as sin in the opinion of a lot of people.

    I'll agree with you on the CBR...I don't like the overall look, but I like the small size of it. But I disagree about the R1, I just happen to think its the best looking R1 yet.

    Exactly. I love the RSV4R, but I hear a lot of complaints about how ugly the front end is. I happen to think its the second best looking new bike out there.

    Specs are impressive, but its looks...

    That's exactly like mine. I think it's beautiful bike, especially side-view. More important - it is an amazingly fun bike. Congrats to your friend!

    I actually like the '08s nose. Honda claims that it helps in turnability. In my opinion it is the best japanese bike out there, then again I am biased.
