I know eBay restructured their fees for vehicles, but selling used to be 10% seller's fee. Could be worth hitting him up to buy it cash, outside of eBay, for less. Might be win-win.

I'm also quasi-local if you want me to check it out. I'm sure it's fine, but those pictures are trash.

I tried that when I bought my first bike. I offered cash buy-it-now before the auction ended but the seller told me to wait it out... that it's against ebay terms of service and he couldn't end an auction early.

That said, the seller may have just said that because it opens them up to liability if I back out after they close the auction or they were hoping they'd get a bit more of a bidding war?

The only reason I thought of it is because that's how I sold my RC8. Dude was kind of a dick about it.

    Sweeeeeeet

What are your intentions with this bike? Street? Track? Garage show room piece? All of the above?

Always had a soft spot for these but money, time, space and use case never aligned.

Keep it clean, occasional street ride. I don't ride THAT much anymore, but I like to go on a few rides a year.

Ive had my RC for 15 years, I love twins, and want something newer and just as cool/unique as the RC51.

Ive been wanting one for a few years now, finally to the point I can let the RC go.

Very good upgrade then...coming from a guy that never understood why people loved the RC51.
I'll go run and hide now from all the hate.

It was the first thing I thought about...but for some reason I thought that quote was regarding the big ol' triumph 900.
I also used that quote a few days ago...about myself....as I start riding bikes again.

    Everyone loves a happy ending!

I can’t imagine having enough self control to ride one of these on the street. I hope the appreciation of them moves in parallel with the R’s and you can scoop one and off load this when a deal surfaces. I may know a guy who loves orange and probably have space for it when/if the time comes.

Totally with you on that. Not responsible enough to have one of those.

Sweet score and congrats on the RC! Hopefully everything goes smoothly from here!

That sucks for sure. Are you talking, no response type communication, or the seller is trying to change terms?
Reading the sellers feedback, seems he mostly buys stuff.
