Five days left of the original auction, probably kicking himself for a low buy it now?

I wouldn't sweat it. If you buy and pay through eBay/PayPal, you're very well-protected.

I’d probably try and head out of Jamaica Plains and grab something elsewhere. The old F1 Boston karting place is not far, they serve food and you could turn some laps on the track. Think it’s called K1 or something like that now, it’s been a few years.

Ahhh, gotcha. Probably try not to get it stolen right out of the back of the truck the first day I own it?

Many, what are you looking for? Going to K1 for food and not eating in Boston would be silly.

    Quick Burritos: Chilicates
    Sit Down Burger: The Haven
    Fancy Tapas: Tres Gatos
    Fancy American/Italian: 10 Tables (make a reservation)
Quick Sit Down Noodles: Noodle Barn
Medicroe Sandwich or Pizza but served by the sweetest old Lady: Captain Nemos
Quick Sit Down Cuban: El Oriental De Cuba
    Quick Dominican Chicken: Alex Chimis

If you have the thing tied up in your truck, it should be fine, but I'd still advise you to keep an eye on it. If you're towing a trailer, parking is going to be tough at all of those spots.

Best bet would be to get food BEFORE you buy the bike.

JP isn't inherently dangerous at all, but its still the city and you never know.

I believe X1 Boston has closed indefinitely.

Oh yeah, I lived down in MA for 7 years so I get it. I dont plan to take the trailer as it is an 18' V-nose. I have ramps so Ill just load it up in the bed. It is 3 hours, 185 miles, so I guess if I leave at 8 am I could get a quick lunch before I pick it up.

My suggestion....stand in the line (it moves super fast) for Alex Chimi's with all the locals and eat an absolute PILE of chicken and rice. I lived about half a mile away and swear I could smell it from my door. Its so good, and I'd say only mildly unhealthy.

Re: Picking up a KTM RC8R

Sooooo, I have taken one ride. It rides a lot easier/lighter than I thought. Other than the seat material being essentially solid, its comfortable.

Took me quite a while to figure out how to get it into track mode (the manual is WRONG?), and havent tried it yet.

The radiator cap is leaking, I have ordered one.

I ripped out a MASS of LED lighting.....

It is SO beautiful from every angle but the front....

I have found a couple wrong bolts and one cross threaded battery bolt that I am replacing.

Some damage to the carbon front fender I didnt notice

There are holes drilled in some of the inner black farings I assume for better LED light projection

The gear position sensor isnt working, therefore it wont idle on the kickstand, it throws a CEL as well. Having trouble finding the bastard sensor. Pretty positive I have to pull the engine cover but I was hoping to at least find the plug.

This is a VERY compact bike, everything is tight/crammed

    I ordered new mirrors/blinkers

Ordered a competition werkes fender eliminator

it has brembo mono blocks I think? I dont see a bleeder on the bottom? Just the top.

Arent there blanks/plugs for when the passenger seat is off? I cant find any

I need to join a ktm forum....

I bought an 07 R1 from Ma a couple years ago, it suffered the same MASS of led lighting.. all hot glued to the insides of the bodywork.
As a fellow European bike owner, don’t expect it to be like your Honda.. aka gas and go pretty much all the time. There will always be little issues that will come up , and for no real reason.

Enjoy it, it is a work of art.

Wtf, why would you say that now, right as I’m considering replacing my Honda with something orange

56k on my fire breathing washing machine. KTM's only come in 2 flavors; extremely reliable or frustrating pile of shit. You basically cross your fingers and pray when you buy one.

OP, if the LC8 in the RC8 is the same as the 1x90 ADV bikes, the gear position sensor is on left side of bike near the slave cylinder.
