Everyone wants to look good while posing on Lansdowne Street right? Well, for the ultimate, you need to have some custom paint on that ratty helmet of yours. Oh yea!
Look no further than my buddy (and burgeoning helmet painter) Luke Dobie. He's being a good guy and doing my helmet up, right now actually, for the 2006 season.
Along with mine, he recently completed a helmet for Jeff Wood. He got it done in time for Jeff's Daytona races last month, and presented it to him a week prior at the Minimoto races.
Jeff had two comments when giving me the helmet, "Can you put a badass penguin on it... and have the Arclight colours on there". Past that, he gave Luke and I free reign to come up with a design. Below you can see the results. We wanted it to look like a normal racer paintjob from the front and slowly transition into something a bit wilder. Overall we were pleased with it and Jeff was too.
Luke can do anything from a full paintjob, small lettering and numbers, bike work, whatever. He'll be up at Loudon this coming weekend to give me my helmet.. can't wait to see it. Check him out! Luke Dobie Designs
Luke's pretty excited to have a guy like Jeff rocking one of his paintjobs. I'll be sure to pass along any cool comments left here his way.
Thanks
Daytona
