Re: Is a piped RC the best sounding bike you can buy?
The TL dose sound bad ass ,1098 freaken out of this world ,never heard the RC51 in person ,but for me it will have to be the 09 R1 with Two brothers ,maybe because I rode it a few weeks ago ,that thing just screams Faster Faster Faster .
Excuse the Music :(

Re: Is a piped RC the best sounding bike you can buy?
I had a TLR for years (first Two Brothers, then M4, then Yosh), I had an Aprilia and now ride an RC.
I think the TL and the RC both sounded better than the Aprilia. Tough call between the TL and RC for me. I like the mechanical sound of the RC better. The gear driven cams are music to my ears. Exhaust note is pretty close.
I love the sound of the new R1. And back in the day the RC45 superbike and the Britten were amazing sounding bikes

That does add to the coolness factor.

Isn't it yours that I posted the youtube vid of? We've got pretty much the same setup, you sent me a map on Speedzill a while back.

No, its actually not my bike.
And as a side note, I just recently (like 2 weeks ago) got the db killers he sells....the endcaps that bolt on. The bike likes it with those on. Even smoother and less jerky with throttle imputs. $50 well spent. (plus everyone else likes the fact that its a lil less obnoxious sounding)

Re: Is a piped RC the best sounding bike you can buy?
I'm kind of partial to my SV1KS w/ carbon yoshi RS3's. Haven't heard an RC-51, so I can't compare unfortunately.
My KZ650 w/ V&H 4-1 is a whole 'notha story. Raspiest, crappiest sounding thing until it tach's above 7000, turning into a symphony of 30 year old valves and 4 cylinder bliss. I wouldn't say she's the quickest cheetah on the prowl...

Re: Is a piped RC the best sounding bike you can buy?
My bike (TL-R) sounds sweeter than just about anything I've ever heard (Yosh cans)...
-
Re: Is a piped RC the best sounding bike you can buy?
My TLS sounds pretty damn good with the Leo Vinci's.

So if a dude on an RC said the same thing to me about my TLR, does that mean the TLR's sound best?

:topic:sorry...
I'm working on it, the piggy is ripped apart at the moment and finally did the free mods, picked up a Ohlins 3 way, I need a left radiator and gonna flush all the fluids out and clean it up. as far as the 8 goes, talked to Razee about a new 10 and made a cash deal but don't think I can pull it off in time rite now so I starting to look into used :mope: I need it to SNOW
talk to ya soon.
RC's sounds the best BTW

Re: Is a piped RC the best sounding bike you can buy?
I dunno I gotta say my superhawk (carb'd) sounds a bit louder than most of the links in this thread, and I would also add better :P

Re: Is a piped RC the best sounding bike you can buy?
I am partial to 2V air cooled Ducati's myself. My race bike has a nice sound, a few of the racers on here might remember it (ie- Duczillia).
My street bike has always gotten a bunch of complements also.
In general though any V-twin sportbike sounds pretty good to me.
