    Please give a thought for a friend of mine injured.

    This is a friend of mine. He is the bass player with the band "Bob's Day Off"



    Quote from their website:

    There were NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL involved, this was purely an accident.
    Apparently, Matt was riding his bike and left the kick stand down, without realizing it. Somehow, the kick stand managed to catch a rock or pothole and flipped the motorcycle over. Matt shattered his pelvis, broke a leg and collapsed a lung. He was airlifted from New Bedford to a Boston area hospital.
    Matt's Doctors have placed Matt in a medically induced coma for the next few days. He is in critical but stable condition, and the coming days will be vital.
    It will be quite some time before Matt will be able to bear his own weight (anywhere from 3 to 8 months) let alone walk or play bass. He is going to go through rigorous physical therapy to regain his strength. I have placed a link above to keep you updated as to Matt's progress as well as a "get well guestbook" so you can leave your best wishes.

    aw man..that is terrible. My first bike didn't have a sensor and I would forget mine down a lot..looks like I got lucky. Get well soon .....

    my first bike had none

    tooling along & wham low speed dint go down but the shock wave hurt every bone in my body
    hope he gets better takes a long time
    ps ya aint got 2 hit a rock or hole ether cause i dint. it picked the ass up & slamed it down hard i was all loose just tooling off
