I was on 93N this pass Sunday night at about 10PMish in bumper to bumper traffic enjoy the smell of hot blacktop and out of nowhere comes 10 to 15 sportbikes doing about 50MPH between cars(WHITE LINING) WITH THE STATE TROOPERS SITTING ON A DETAIL. This is why most cops hate sportbikes and pork them every chance they get..

Cops are cops, they're never off duty. What they ride, whether it's legal or not, they get to ride it, chase you on it, bust you on it when they catch up to you. When you get to court, you're guilty. These are simple concepts. What is all this "not fair" stuff? There is no fair, there's only handcuffs. What's it matter if the cop that put the cuffs on you is on or off duty, riding this bike, that bike, or surfing a fuggin' bar of soap down the road when he caught you? Either way, you got cuffs on you, your bike is on the hook, and you're gonna be eatin' Mexican Hats and wonder bread for your three squares til someone makes bail for your dumb ass. After all that, when you're in court in your orange bloomers and no underwear, does it REALLY matter what the cop that cuffed ya was ridin'? No.

is this a new concept guys? really???? The bike looks tits in person, and I commend him on not just throwing together another HD Police Special for his show piece.... I know plenty of guys with antique Fire Trucks that ARE plated for normal use with full lights, sirens, decals, hoses, axes, and all needed equipment... YET not to be used in fire fighting activities....

The bikes cool and probably the officer too.

I would take a pull over for speed from a sportbike owning officer anyday over a sportbike hating one.

We ride and we may exceed posted limits,accidently because of our bikes smoothness and power.

It is the price we pay for our decisions to ride high Hp sportbikes.

Just because he was able to legally do it and we are not, does not make it unfair in any way.

Most of us are not police and if I get pulled over in Ashland aka ( The clock town) I hope it is him doing it because I beleive his tolerance of our " Type" would be amongst the highest.

Just waiting for him to post a ride so I can drop in and see it in person.

Why does everyone hate on cops so much. I for one drove like a douche the other day (I admit it). I ended up speeding and going through a red light in my cage (it was close). An off duty cop saw it and chased me down. He was in his SUV and talked to me citing what he saw me doing. I told him I was sorry and that I have a clean driving record and I had not been pulled over in 10 years. He said just try to be careful, do not let me catch you doing that again told me to have a nice day and then shook my hand. Not all cops suck... not all cops think they are above the law.

And to the person that said DARE cars are a waste of taxpayer money... Wrong. The Cars are confiscated and then they outfit them. much cheaper than buying a car and outfitting it.

Meanwhile, an Ashland Police Officer decides to meld his duties as an officer and his passion for sportbikes into a unique idea with what seem to be only good intentions.

Did I miss something? Until someone sees this bike with someone pulled over, banging wheelies on 495, or just riding like a douche in general, I fail to see how this has a negative impact on the overall image and perception of sportbikes. I would wager the number of people with a negative view on sportbikes prior to seeing this bike and then being convinced that they are not all bad far exceeds the possibility of the opposite happening.
