I just can't stay away from it, I have to touch it sometimes
I copied this from my post on the R6 board so just ignor the questions unless you have some useful input
I started making my own plate and signal holder about a week ago and kinda forgot about it until yesterdays big snow storm.
I made a paper template and traced it on a peice of 1/16" aluminum plate and cut it out with a small band saw. I still have to paint it but I'm not sure yet, I may just sand it to give it a brushed aluminum finish and a coat of clear? Or paint it satin black?
I almost went with LED but I had these signals on my R1 and thought they were pretty bright, so I didn't have to bother with a flasher or resistor.
The new vs the old
From the back. Any ideas for a plate light?
Side shot
Under, what is everyone doing with that big hole? I want to plug it somehow to keep water out if I get cought in the rain. Also thinking of losing the wingnuts on the plate reflectors.
The underside. I used the same bolts from the stock peice and just flipped them upside down and put the nuts under the seat. I used the 2 nuts that held the stock plate bracket to the mudflap thing, and 2 more nuts that hold the reflector brackets to the plastic mudflap thing
