I just bought a new 7x14 yesterday. The days of cramming 3 bikes in my 6x12 are GONE! Pics to follow as I build/setup the inside.

The extra foot of width and 2 feet of length makes a lot more difference than you would think. (that's what she said)

It's a world apart. Welcome to the club of decadence baby!

    Bump.

Any rules of thumb or such on spacing bikes from walls, etc. How close do you dare setup the bike to the walls?
I'm thinking 2" of clearance from the bar end to the wall. Too little?

Bikes will be tied down with a simple hoop style wheel chock and 4-point ratchet type tie-downs.

With my Pitbull TRS I've got the bike close enough to the wall that I don't fit between them. The bike is much more stable side to side with the TRS than a front chock and strap setup, but I still left a lil buffer. I'd want more than 2" with a strap system, unless you're planning on sucking all the suspension travel out with those straps. (Which I wouldn't advise, FYI.)

TRS is not in my future. I'd go broke on adapter pins.

    4" clearance? 6"?

6" is good to start, a little room to move means you can ease up on the straps a bit.
