    Electronics lesson : Even with 4 tips on that spark plug, you will still only get ONE arc of spark. The easiest path of travel for the juice to get to.

    spark plugs don't run at 12volts, they are usually being fed about 30,000 volts.
    voltage is synonymous with pressure, so that 30,000V will try damned hard to find a path to complete the circuit.. unlike that 220 volt welding analogy. although, with the right stick and the right settings, you can weld just about anything.. just turn up the juice

    as far as the 4 tipped spark plug, you are right, but the point is that the closest electrode erodes through use, the gap grows, and the spark moves to the new closest gap(shortest path), effectively quadrupling the plug's gap-life.

    Rode about 100 miles today, idle has leveled out, and all is good
