I was watching for this camera to go on sale somewhere and found it today on BestBuy.com for 224.99. This looks like a great price for a camera I could only find for around 299.00. They also have a bag of mounts for 19.99. Any body else find this camera any cheaper?

What's WERA? Also, what's the difference between the helmet one and motorsports one? Just the mounts?

This is the full 1080 HD version with I think two mounts and a strap for holding the cam. This was the lowest I have seen so far but will check out the others mentioned here. Thanks.

So, it must be the helmet edition and not the motorsports. I think they are essentially the same with the exception of the mounts...I posted on WERA to see what price I get from ridersdiscount

My friend owns a BMX shop and just ordered one. I believe he said dealer cost is $225, so yea, that's a pretty good deal.

Go to Amazon.com - I think it was $243 including free shipping and no tax which is the same as BestBuy. I still can't decide if I want the motorsoprts version with the nice suction cup or the helmet version with the helmet mount

I`m wondering if they are coming out with another model . I`ve been noticing more mainstream type adds and OCC had a bit where the film crew mounted one in the water jet machine. I`d like to see one like the 920 Silver in 1080. Anybody hear anything on this?

Dunno what the 920 Silver is? And is the 1080 in reference to the video quality? The GoPro HD records in 1080, at 30 fps... I record at 720, 60fps, figure the quicker frames help with the higher speed imagery on the track?

My Bad. It`s a silver colored Go Pro Hero that records in 960 not 920. It looks the same except for the color and apparently from what I`m reading a lot of people record in less that 1080 anyway. I thought I also read somewhere that using the 1080 camera you need to record in the 960 mode to get the widest view. Since I probably would only use it in that mode I was thinking I might do just as well with the Silver colored 960 camera for anywhere from 50.00 to 130.00 buck cheaper. You mention recording at 720 I think which would probably work for me too. Whats are your thoughts on this?

I think I would like to have the 60fps capability...probably does not make a difference for youtube, but would for a larger screen

I have been seeing more mainstream shows using GoPros. Im always looking for them when I watch a car show or some racing haha.

Here's one of mine, judge it on video quality, not rider quality...

Make sure to increase the image setting to 720 (at least) and go full screen. Dunno why the setting offer you to watch it in 1080, it was recorded in 720 @ 60fps

You have 5 options to choose from depending on what your filming.
720P at 30 FPS (frames per second) gives the widest HD
720P/60FPS same but ultra slow motion playback
960P/30FPS gives tallest (most vertical viewing) HD Max overall view
1080P/30FPS gives Full HD highest resolution but also narrows the field of view angle from 170 degrees to 127.
So it depends on what your filming that day. I like having the options because I plan on using it for other filming. I haven't tried it yet but for the track 720p/60FPS sounds the best especially for critiquing yourself in slow motion.
