guy looks at his car first? maybe I'm too nice, but I'd be checking on the condition of the rider, regardless of circumstance!

...why? You have a motorcycle with superior acceleration, if not top speed as well...why not just disappear into the sunset?

Insurance fraud is huge there. Dashcams help prevent it.

It's standard OEM equipment on all cars sold there. Or it seems like it

It almost like he almost made it too before he went plop.

I do not think the rider brake checked. I think the driver accelerated and rammed the motorcycle.

Hard to tell, since the guy's brake light is really dim.

I don't see any brake lights. His front end looks like it dove because he let off the throttle. .. Driver rammed him.

The rate of acceleration was too quick for the car to achieve, me thinks, definitely a brake check. Idiota....

    Re: Probably Shouldn't Brake-check on a bike

I don't think the front end can dive like that if he only let off the throttle. Also I can see his brake lights(barely). Shitting LED spec brake lights that is.

I agree. I think I see brake lights at 0:11 and then they go off just before the car hits him. I think it was a brake check. Well, attempted one. Brilliant. Especially when he'd already had a close call with the front bumper of the car.

I'd call that a high side. He may have been on the gas just before the car hit him but I doubt it was enough to spin the tire. The rear wheel didn't look too healthy when it left the front bumper of the car. It looks skewed from the rest of the bike, especially when the bike tips over. I don't think he had a chance.

I'm impressed with how quickly the oncoming truckers stopped to check on the rider. They were probably on scene before the driver of the car.

I don't think he lost it because of throttle it kinda seems the rear wheel got fucked from the hot. Maybe blown tire?

    Re: Probably Shouldn't Brake-check on a bike

There's definitely more to it than what we're seeing....I'm guessing the driver did something earlier to antagonize him. There's just not much you can do for "payback" on a bike unless you've got a handful of pennies/ball bearings/etc to throw over your shoulder.
