Progressive International Motorcycle Show - NYC

Anyone else going down to NYC this weekend for the show? Degsy and I will be heading down early Saturday from the Providence area and taking the subway in from the Norton Heights station in Stamford, CT.

Fun Fact: Noroton Heights in Darien? i grew up down there. as you wait for the train, imagine a ~10 y/o Clinton BMX'ing all around the train station and MX'ing across the street where there are now condos.

I also went the Long Beach show. Hopefully they cleaned my love stains off the S1000RR HP4 race.

I want to go and sit on the new wing, but my weekend is pretty jammed.
I really want to peep that Indian street tracker teaser too.

Yeah, that one. I actually found a parking spot for 30 bones on Spot Hero so we won’t in fact be revisiting your old glory days. I bet you had a full beard then...

Re: Progressive International Motorcycle Show - NYC

Was planning on going, but went for a 300 mile dirt ride instead. The mud is pretty bad at certain altitudes in Mass right now. Almost ate it twice, thank you traction control.

Was planning on trying on a Nexx XD1 and hoping Rev'It had a sale going so I could pick up some Gore Pro pants, but alas I had to save my money.

    How was the show?

It was a good time, we spent about 2 hours there. Over half of the vendors there were of the pirate variety so that was kind of "meh." Highlights were seeing Jonathan Rea's WorldSBK ride, one of Rossi's old M1 GP bikes, oogling over the RSV4-RF, and seeing the new KTM 250 XC-W.

We left there around 1 pm, had a NY slice, went to some pubs, went to a Ramen house, went to some pubs, then went to a curry house. All in it was a worthwhile day.

So you are telling us that you and Degsy told your missus's you were going to a motorcycle show, but it was really about going to some pubs in NY?

In my defense, if the motorcycle show were better I wouldn't have needed to go to so many pubs.
