Where is the tank? I have a stock clutch cover and I may have some levers. (but you don't need a clutch cover)

I missed why you went for the 748 instead of the 1000ss? I know it's more of a dream bike, but the 748 is a step backwards in the handling dept. That said, I always wanted one.

The 916/748 bikes don't like to turn. They are unbelievably stable once you get it leaned over, but they just don't want to get there with any ease. No amount of adjustment/customization can change their manners according to Bruce Meyers.

That said, they are probably a blast until you try to race them against japanese bikes.

Interesting... I wanted it because the ergonomics are like my 998 and there are parts that are interchangeable. Plus I thought it would make a good control riding bike. (Why I got the ZX6R in the first place).

Very interesting... Maybe a 2 valve Duc is in my future...

bet you if you drop the exhaust to dump underneath the bike instead of under the tail it would change all that.. lower the center of gravith substantially. = much eaier to toss around

You can make them turn in pretty quick but you lose stability, especially if it's an older one with the adjustable head stock. If you set the steering angle and get offset triples it will turn in almost as fast as a Jap bike, but it'll be twitchy as all hell.

    Hi Jim!
I might have some spares you can have. Next time I dig through my garage I'll check to see what I have.
