    Question Back Protectors

Gonna get one since my jacket has NO protection whatsoever... using it for spirited street & trackday use.... which one do you use, which one would ya get?

since i'm probably gonna buy off of newenough.com i'll use their products & make a poll outta this, but i welcome all other suggestions
    http://www.newenough.com/product_gro...body_armor.htm

I'm leaning towards either goin w/ the A* or Teknic... don't like the looks of the J.R. much at all.

    And if i get the A* then i'll have A* 2-piece, A* boots, A*gloves & A* BP

And once again, other suggestions are welcome... i'm not limited to just these three (er... two, since the JR looks like poo)

    EDIT: here's another option

worth the extra dough over the A*'s eh?

Turns out Cal-Sportbike (a sponsor over on ODFU) can get me a discount, and on top of that is doing a group buy on A* stuff... i'm waiting to see what i can get for prices from him.

Here's my major folley though... i set a price for myself.... then see something that matches it... then see something that's better but more expensive... and it happens again & again & again.... that's how i spent 130 bucks on GLOVES after i only planned on spending 50-60

I have the A* protector, I like it but I got it last december and haven't had a chance to ride with it yet. If I end up going to the next drunkathon I'll bring it with me so you can see how it looks, plus when we're drunk we can all take turns wearing it and punching each other in the back, oh man that will be so much fun.

Try em all on and try and see what is most comfortable. You won't wear it if it is annoying. All I can add is my Dainese one is just about invisible, you can't even feel it really, so I pretty much always wear it.

yeah i tried it on & it fits pretty well... i'm just a touch over 5'9" and i'm glad i got the full size 8 pannel. Haven't had a chance to ride with it but it fits pretty good under my jacket.

only issue i have w/ it has to deal w/ my own skinniness... the waist strap is a little too loose, but i'm getting an extra piece of fuzzy velcro sewn into the strap so that'll solve the problem.

heh, kinda wish it looked more like the pic but who's gonna see it under my jacket? it's all black including the pannels, no yellow & no "KEVLAR CARBON" writing on it. but like i said, who gives a shit? the construction looks great. hopfully i'll never crash test it
