I love that the bike's name is Grasshopper!!
Am I the only one that noticed you've gone from a parking lot to the Tail of the Dragon in a couple days?
There must be easier "learner roads" down there to practice on. Not only is Deals Gap technical to ride alone but there are plenty of unpredictable oncoming hazards as well. Be careful down there!
Congrats on the new ride!
No. You missed her other thread. She's riding "around" the Dragon, but not riding the more technical areas.
I am NOT riding the Dragon this year unless it is as the passenger on my BF's bike or our friend's bike. The roads I'm doing are still technically 129, but they are much easier with straights and free flowing turns. I would never try something so technical on my first few times on my bike nor would those around me allow me to. Tomorrow we are heading out on 321 which is a road with minimal intersections, some curves, and some straights ... good road to get some experience on. Nothing I have ridden on to this point is above a beginner's level and nor do I want to go above a beginner's level. I value my live, my limbs, and those around me so not unnecessarily stupid risks will be taken.

Good responses Aprilb!! Sure does seem you got the correct outlook on it. I like to see that!! This way you will have a nice long riding career. Great to see!
