You might be ok with the heated gear. If you replace the headlight, tail light, and license plate light with LED’s, that should free up 30-40 watts. I’ve done this on my DR650 and used heated gear just fine. Install a cheap voltmeter so you can keep an eye on the battery.
Also, I tagged you in a FS thread on ADV this morning.

Headlight, tail light, and license plate lights are already LEDs. Gonna throw a voltmeter on it and try it out.

Saw the tag. Thank you. Looking for something more local or something online with cheap shipping. Hoping to get a set of wheels with sprocket and spacers for under $500.

I have no idea about spoked wheels. What should I look for?

Rode 365 miles on it yesterday and had Gerbing heated jacket liner and gloves running. The battery held 14.1-14.3V consistently even on full blast. As soon as I put my turn signals on (which are not LEDs) it would drop down to 13.7V. Who knew bulbs take up so much juice.

It was a group 7 all on liter bikes. Never had I worked a bike so hard for so long. I was laughing inside my helmet! fun fun

Picked up a set of 21/18" S wheels with Kenda tires, sprocket, and spacers for $500. Decided to run the SM speedo drive.

    Now hunting for some rotors
