It’s not necessarily due to lean jetting, rather due to a temporary lean condition.
Here’s a post I saved about this from Procycle, the guru for all things Suzuki DR650-related

Good to know. I do have a full Yoshi exhaust on it. The airbox is stock (no 3x3 mod) and as far as I know stock carb tuning. Personally think it sounds kinda cool but hate to be annoying to others.

Over the winter I'm going to take the carb off, clean and rejet it. Also gonna do the 3x3. That's pretty much it for power mods.

I want to keep riding this thing. I don't believe the stock charging system will be able to handle heated jacket and gloves which pulls 8.6amps. Guess I might have to ride the BMW then. First world problems...

I'll tell ya, this thing gets a ton of attention. From kids, grown men, chicks. All have waved at me for no other reason that me riding by. I also feel that I'm getting attention from LEOs given that it looks like a dirtbike. Lets hope they don't give me any trouble.

You might be ok with the heated gear. If you replace the headlight, tail light, and license plate light with LED’s, that should free up 30-40 watts. I’ve done this on my DR650 and used heated gear just fine. Install a cheap voltmeter so you can keep an eye on the battery.
Also, I tagged you in a FS thread on ADV this morning.

Headlight, tail light, and license plate lights are already LEDs. Gonna throw a voltmeter on it and try it out.

Saw the tag. Thank you. Looking for something more local or something online with cheap shipping. Hoping to get a set of wheels with sprocket and spacers for under $500.

I have no idea about spoked wheels. What should I look for?

Rode 365 miles on it yesterday and had Gerbing heated jacket liner and gloves running. The battery held 14.1-14.3V consistently even on full blast. As soon as I put my turn signals on (which are not LEDs) it would drop down to 13.7V. Who knew bulbs take up so much juice.

It was a group 7 all on liter bikes. Never had I worked a bike so hard for so long. I was laughing inside my helmet! fun fun

Picked up a set of 21/18" S wheels with Kenda tires, sprocket, and spacers for $500. Decided to run the SM speedo drive.

    Now hunting for some rotors
