If it's ABS, which I think it is, got to Wal-Mart and pick up some "Devcon Plastic Welder" near the plumbing supply shit. Supposed to work great. I'll be trying it on a crack on the Duck, I'll let you know how it comes out.

you could use toothpaste and white out like we did on the walls in the dorms.

oh wait... no bastardizing... ok, well teh body guy that did the stuff on my old bike actually glassed a piece of a metal bar behind hte cracks in the fairings... and opened the crack a teeny bit so the glass went right through.. that way it was fixed and strong...
maybe he didn't know what plastic welding supplies are?

Yes, plastic weld works great. Had to use it on my last bike, a CBR 1000.

Should be ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), but since I am not a mechanical engineer, I don't know much about plastic....

Kool I think I have a plan then
At work a ol' timer tought me a trick for fixing cracks on pipes, filters, etc.
We use PVC shaving and chips and mix it in a glass jar with some MEK (Metyle Ethal Keytone) (NO I cant fucking spell I know)
Wait a few days and give it a few stirings.......All in all you end up with some sticking shit bit you can fill in anything and wait a few days to harden....when done its justas hard a ridgid PVC

Now since PVC and ABS are close to the same (some what) I figure I could do the same using ABS chips and shavings.....

    What do ya think????

I used the Devcon Plastic Welder and some black ABS cement from Home Depot. The black stuff worked great for filling the gap on the backside and as a flexible adhesive in the crack. The Devcon stuff I used as a sort of body filling for smoothing where the crack was on the paint side. Both were only like a buck-fifty, so it may be worth your while to buy both and try out each one.
