Shoei RF-1000

I'm looking to get the yellow Shoei GSX-R (RF-1000) helmet to match my yellow/black K2.
Does anyone get these helmets? No dealerships stock them for some reason.

ya I've seen them on eBay, but I prefer to get one at a dealership to try on. plus the dealerships are marking everything down now to get rid of everything.

I am pretty sure the the paint doesnt change the size

i've tried on a few RF-1000's, so i know what size i am.
but i'd still like to try it on and look at it before tossing $400 - $500 on a helmet

I know that Motorsports International in Auburn has the GSXR helmets, I don't know about them having that color though. All I ever see on display is the grey one.

went to Bettencourts saturday. all their Shoei helmets are 25% off, but they didnt stock the one i want. special orders = full retail price

DB, no one carries it in stock cuz it's a specialty helmet. You can try on the exact same make & model practically anywhere, but you want to try on the same make, model AND paint scheme? You know you're a medium, you've seen pics of the lid, so order the thing already.

I get laughed at enough around town for jackets and pants and boots, and looking like a power ranger, I don't need to match my gear to my bike to get more laughs..... I seen those GSXR RF-1000 helmets somewhere instock recently, just cna't think of where.. I always like RF-1000's and 900's I just got my firs Aria Profile, And WOW, I love it..

I'd say you're best off just ordering it online - most retailers will exchange it for you if the size doesn't fit. You might just have to take a hit on the shipping charges.

helmet just came in from UPS today. Who the F uses a chin guard? I've seen people with the nose guard, but this also had an attachment for the wind that goes up by your chin?
anyways, brand new helmet for a great price. got the Shoei bag and everything.
anyone recommend a good place for visors? debating on tinted or mirrored.
