Yeah I really like the looks of that too. Kind of reminds me of the new "retro" ducati's too. I love the styling but my main problem with bikes like this one are that it could never be my only bike and affording two at this time is just out of the question. Would be some serious fun to pull that out every once and a while to whip around on though!

    Me likey.

It'd have to be a "Sunny Sunday ride" for me though, like owning a chopper. Too hard to maintain if you rode it a lot IMO.

    That thing is gorgeous.

It's a rich person's toy though, not something you'd ride all the time. If the look really appeals to you, your money'd be better spent on a Triumph Thruxton, in my opinion. At least you can get parts.

The bike is not vaporware, it's done, it's going into production right now.

It's in cycleworld this month, and I think the owners even said there business plan is set up to grow to 30,000 bikes/yr.

    The more bikes the merrier.

Sounds like it is a sweet bike from the magazine articles. Yes, the writers are often old guys buy they are saying this bike pushes all the right buttons to be really fun on the street, since it is essentially a sportbike, but without the performance of a new bike, so it makes you feel like a hero without going particularly fast.

You and I have different ideas of vaporware.

Vaporware is something you talk about but does not actually exist. A fully working prototype is not vaporware.

Vaporware doesn't even really apply to motorcycles IMO. It comes from software, where you can have your sales guys go into the customer site and say "Don't buy our competitors product, we will have this available soon" and they show a bunch of power point slides that are totally fake. Since motorcycles are not really ever bought before they exist and customers don't send out a request for proposal to various companies it doesn't really apply the same way.

Since the thing is already built and it's already setup for production I bet this is still just a matter of someone else coming in and buying the whole thing for a song and starting things up. Same old business as usual it's just in the US instead of Italy where we usually hear these stories.
