Stoner's high-side was spectacular in a way that I haven't seen since the 500s. Rossi was awesome, but I think props go to Capirossi. You could see that he had no traction left, but he pushed hard anyway to take second.

I was cheering for Sete also, but I think he may be just not quite the rider he was in the wake of his teammates death...

I was yelling the last three laps on the edge of my seat ! That was awesome! I too was hoping Hayden was going to take over Capi's 2nd seat..

Unreal race!!! Boy did Rossi slap Nicky in the face with the interview at the end or what!!! "Yeah, I knew my only competion today was Capirossi" To lose 5 places in one corner then work your way back up to take the win.... amazing

That was funny, what he said. Huge slap in Haydens face, as well as the other races! Then he said his one mistake was when was he let off for 5 seconds and next thing he knew he was in 5th!

Nicky is the man...Well I guess Rossi is beyond man then.

But I think Nicky has finally stepped up to the big leagues with this race.

I mean he had a real shot at winning and this on a track in Europe and one that probably Rossi and Cappirossi grew up on.

I hope that this marks the point that Hayden can contend at the front at all tracks.

Hats off to Rossi though he just wills that bike to be faster than anyone else out there and it works...
that last half lap was totally amazing as he pulled away.

Hayden did well. I don't know why anyone would expect him to be able to win in europe yet though... He has to pay his dues like anyone else. People think talent wins races, but I don't think so. In my experience, years of hard work wins races. Nicky's doing the work right now.

BTW, he needs to learn to be more positive on the podium. Loris was clearly delighted with 2nd and had a lot of fun getting there. Nicky was almost in tears. If he doesn't start enjoying the battles, he's not going to win them...

Awesome race! I thought for a moment Sete would finally end the loosing streak, then on his own (not even fighting with Rossi) started to go backwards. The curse continues...

Rossi is back in the game but it was good to see he didn't just blew everyone away. Nicky did good, he should be happy with that result, the Italians were on a mission! (just like he was in Laguna last year).

But what's going on with Colin? He got off track but he started way back anyway.

Finally watched the race on TIVO last night. That was such a great competition. Nicky has man'ed up. No more pushing him around, as he shut the door on Malandry hard. He's got what it takes, and my money is on him for the championship. I'd like to see Hopper placing Higher...Sometimes he has it, sometimes he doesn't. Still, 10th place in a world motogp grid is some serious skill.

What I would give to race on some of those tracks with no mid corner pavement transitions, bumps, or potholes and plenty of safe runoff. NHIS makes me feel like I'm racing in the stoneage.
