Wow. Why don't you go move elsewhere if you hate it so much. A lot of people come here because they want to, for whatever reason. Work, family, scenic, ocean and mountains withing a couple hours of each other.

FWIW, I was born in a mill town (a real one, not Manchester), and stayed in NH cause I love it here, not because I had to. I could have lived anywhere, but I chose to stay. We all have choices.

There are 10 racetracks within 7 hours of Chicago, so I'm obviously not moving to NH to ride at Loudon all year (no offense). I have such a nice life. And I love sentence fragments, too. I love milltowns, grew up in one, Wallingford CT, yeah, sad in a lot of ways, and when I drive by the old Wallace Silversmiths where my father worked 40 years, and where my mother was the factory nurse at Chandler-Evans, and the steel mill where my brother worked, well, it's hard to breath, and I'm not talking about smog. But a lot of the mills have new life as apartments and offices. Factories in the borough (center), dairy farms and orchards in the town (outlying). I read that one of the old orchards is now a vineyard an winery. New life.
