We had a cardiac event about 3:30.
I have never checked any of this out, but I have some time tomorrow.
I'm up in Bridgton, ME and my plan is to trailer the motorcycle to somewhere near Concord, ride it up to see this spectacle, and then head back home.
Any suggestions?
Managed to get over there around 1:30 and worked my way through the sea of bikes. By the time I got there people were starting to slowly filter out. I basically walked right in. The kids collecting money and giving wristbands didn't even acknowledge me, except for when I just held up my little cooler. They just smiled and nodded and let me walk right by 'em.
Hooked up with Timmy & a couple of his buddies and got to take in a solid few hours. I always have a blast watching those fucker tear up the hill. People watching was at an all time high too.
Tried to hook up with Paul, but as I was walking in he was apparently walking out.
We were wondering what happened to you! I was looking forward to finally putting a face to the name.
Very shortly after we split apart I started hearing chatter on the crews' radios about it. It never crossed my mind. As I've already said, wishing him nothing but the best. He seemed like a cool dude.
are pants required?
I just rode up mt kearsarge, then hiked the half mile to the summit. Beautiful up here.

Weirs is the Weirs.
3 O’clock happy hour is happening .
I’m out of here .
I went for a ride instead.
temperature drop for the weekend, won't be t-shirt weather
The weather forecasted will encourage more people to go, me thinks. No sweltering heat in traffic, along the boardwalk, etc. It'll be much easier to 'get around' in the cooler weather. At the very least, hopefully it'll discourage some of the outrageous and/or pathetic costumes some people prance around in.
I'm hoping to be at the campsite by mid-afternoon today, then we'll be there until Sunday afternoon. If anyone staying at the track or close to Loudon/NHMS wants to venture and have a few pops, hit me up. It'd be great to put faces to names. I'm guessing I won't be in much condition to drive/ride much this weekend, but we'd be happy to host ya for some zesties. We'll be literally two miles north of the track.
Disclaimer: We smoke like chimneys, drink like sailors, talk like truck drivers, like loud obnoxious music and have low morals. We're Barnstead rednecks! :D
I'm booting out soon and pretty much unplug for weekends. We'll have sketchy cell & data service at the site, but texting works okay. If you can't contact me and plan on visiting in your travels, just tell them you're there to see Stoner.

I had grand illusions of getting up Saturday, pulling the bike under the tent and washing, waxing & polishing it up. My plan then was to go for ride and end my day at the racetrack, shaking some hands, seeing some old friends and putting some names to faces. That was foiled when somebody handed me a Pabst Hard Coffee at 9:30 in the morning. Then another one. Then a Titos & cran. Then another of those.
At that point, my plan had changed a bit. But I figured at least to hold off for a few hours and get the breffis & some water to me, clear out the cobwebs and wait for Bob (bassomatic) to show up and head to the track with him. Once again, my plan was foiled when Big Shirl handed me an ice cold beer from the pile of ice in our cooler. At that point there was really no stopping me and I conceded to the beer and smoky treats. If I remember, I even told Bob if I opened THIS beer, it's going to be a solid no for me going to the track. Yup, I was well too far into it at that point.
It was cool hooking up with Timmy & his peeps for the Hill Climbs. Hope his buddy is feeling better.
Great meeting Bob. We gotta get together again soon. Although we gotta figure out if we're drinking/smoking or riding/driving next time.
