It ain't no looker, but it actually runs pretty good. Just a minor carb issue that I'm sorting out at the moment.
That is a mid 80's Honda. There is no such thing as a minor carb issue on that bike. Lol. At least it isn't a magna, you need a backhoe and a submarine to get those carbs in and out.

Actually if you're careful, organized, methodical, and have all the right parts beforehand, (like what I've done) then it's actually not too bad.

That being said, if you go through the carbs with a ham fisted approach, stripping every fastener, getting carb cleaner on the rubber bits, and cleaning the jets by jamming a screwdriver through the passage-ways, then yeah I'd imagine they can be a bit hard. But who does that?

Anyways this thread isn't about making fun of my bike, this thread is.

Tell ya what though Degsy, In the (highly) unlikely event that it does go all wrong with this machine, you will be more than welcome to say "I told ya so"

What is the guy's name - is it Chris Dove? Does he ride or race out here anymore?

He has a profile here and I noticed his posts because he had in his signature line "empty vessals make the most noise - anon." I thought it would be much funnier if he'd changed it to "Empty Vassals make the most noise." Misspelling vessel just makes him look like a dumb ass.

we use to deal with douche bags like this when i played tournament paintball too however if it was someone that played at a local field, we had our own way of dealing with him, repeated over shooting game after game sends a good message to cut the shit

I spent like three hours reading the thread on this guy from the barf forum and this guy is just amazing I'm surprised he didn't just accidently "disappear". It was amazing that this guy is still alive. Personally I think his profile should be erased and banned from here after the atrocities hes commited to the motorcycling community in general.

So, someone bought a paintball gun and didn't pay for it?

Re: Must read cautionary tale.... (winter entertainment)

What I find interesting about the whole ordeal is that he tried to unload it at such a high price. You would think that if he was trying get rid of it quickly he would asked 6k instead of asking more than the original owner (and victim) was asking... You know, just following the "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" mentality.

I read through some of the BARF threads and a few off-shoots from them- pretty crazy shit.

Too bad that guy threw his reputation in the trash can over a bike. From what I read, very few in the racing community wants to have their names associated with Dove. What a disgrace.

His reputation was suspect before that. I remember that when he first signed up here, I had started a thread about a crash I had at a track day and he jumped in and basically tore me to shreads for no reason.

The BARF guys I know all say the same things about the guy: He's a hanger-on and likes to insert himself into social gatherings with some of the more 'popular' BARFers and try to be cool by association, but he's taken advantage of MANY members of that community. I hope someone makes him bite the curb some day.
